Go ahead, post it!

Hey all,
Have any of you read the email named "guy stuff" - about the guy using a taser on himself? I just got it and I haven't laughed that hard in a long time . I'd love to post it - but it's probably to long for here (I get the feeling that "long" post are frowned on). If any of you get it from other friends - be sure to read it. You won't delete it! It's on of those keeper types - Ijust reread it, and laughed just as hard as the first time (it's a drink out of your nose kinda of laugh!

PTOCES-
Thanks! They aren't too expired, just a couple of months. Not sure yet if I will need them- we'll see how tomorrow goes.

GaMom- thanks for the comments about the website. You can come join anytime!!!

Lu- I have used the same expired meds on my oldest...worked just the same. I have a friend who is a pharmacist and she says that they just weaken over time and that's about it.

Thanks everyone!

We've had croup before- we own our own nebulizer-but I don't think this is croup-yet. No fever, but he doesn't sound barky & he is not aspirating. I had given him dimatap & it didn't work, but gave him some more today after the albuterol debalkle & it seems to have worked alittle. He is still coughing, but not as constantly. He is at my mother-in-law's right now, so I'm sure he'll come home slathered in Vick's. (She puts it on the kids even if they are not sick. :( ) He's not been up at night, thankfully, but I never get enough sleep!

Lu, I've not been able to get over the counter cough meds to work for croup in the 10 years I've had kids with it. Maybe my kids are just weird. I think my favorite doctor once told me you know if it's croup because it doesn't come with a fever; if there is a fever it can still be croup but there is something else going on. My kids tend to get croup as part of allergy stuff, you know, sinuses draining down the throat inflaming it and stuff. Normally we just us the a/c unless it doesn't get better after 3 or 4 days and then we call the doctor to make sure it's not something else. My middle child only quit getting croup when we put him on Claritin. I feel your pain. I hope you are getting more sleep than me. 3.5 hours split in two sections.

The irony of commitment is that it’s deeply liberating-in work, in play, in love. The act frees you from the tyranny of your internal critic, from the fear that likes to dress itself up and parade around as rational hesitation. To commit is to remove your head as the barrier to your life. --Anne Morris
