I am so testy today!!! I have zero tolerance for mistakes, stupidity and people just plain bugging me! Grrrrrr!!! I think I need a big margarita and a nap. Thank goodness it's the end of my workweek-well, here at the office anyway. Only have to tolerate the idiots we all encounter on our drives home.

Hope everyone has a great weekend with perfect weather. Heck, I hope I get that too!

Of course you know the story about the big city boy that came zipping around on a country road. A car passing in the other direction leaned out the window, saw his NYC plates and yelled "PIG". Not to be outdone, he rolled down the window, gave her the finger and yelled "B*:$#" and as he careened around the corner ran smack dab into a big ole country pig.

That'll serve him right!!!

I have seen kid aprons available through Lands End, Williams Sonoma and Pampered Chef. First two have personalization options.
Mistaking a goat for a deer rocks! Kinda like all those 'big fish' stories you hear from time to time.
To plant bulbs or not to plant bulbs ... that is the question. At the rate our weather is going we probably have only 2 more weekends before frost sets in. Poor mosquitoes ....

Aaah, the country life. I've dodged many a cow and their requisite cow pies. My brother-in-law hit one when he was in high school. Needless to say his car was totaled. Then there were the city slickers who came down from Chicago to hunt deer. They were so proud of the "trophy buck" strapped to the car as they were filling up to leave town. The local gas station owner didn't have the heart to tell them it was a goat! Still after all these years that story is told in the local taverns.

onaroll, I got the cutest apron a kid-sized baking set years ago from Better Homes and Gardens. They might still have it on their website catalog.

CC and Silver - it's all sooo true! Up here we get cow herds, deer and large groups of turkey that like to meander around. You really never know what may be around the next country corner.....

I remember a couple years ago when a deer ran into the side of my car (Yes, it's true, the deer came out of the woods and hit me - it was going so fast it couldn't stop itself before slamming into the passenger side of my car). Anyway, the sheriff comes, the neighbors come, THREE locally known avid hunters come by. All to see if the venison is salvageable - yuuccckkk.

On that note, beef is what's for dinner tonight. My little chef's menu for tonight is meatloaf and mashed potatoes. :p I really need to find her a little personalized apron!

Ya know 'round these parts, CC, if you hit it (whatever the case may be) you have the right to pick 'er up and throw 'er in the back of the truck. If that was around these parts all them pick-ups rounding the cattle woulda had an extra dent with a nice side of beef in the back. Life in the country can be brutal. Beef ... its whats fur dinner!
