Hmmm ... wonder if you/he was really scared to death, literally, if he/we would have extra points to ensure we make it to the big house. Nice thought to know there may be some that can help us out in 'our time'.
Reminds me of the new book I started last week. The Whistling Season. One room classroom in the Wisconsin countryside ... histerical to read the book from the point of view of children ... how they are treated both in and out of school ... their thoughts on their parents and the social ladder. Just goes to show you some of the everyday things we struggle with aren't 'a new thing'.
Have a good week everyone!

A few years ago when I used to work, had the best boss! Never a dull moment. He was such a card!

He used to live out in the country on hills and winding roads. He would always have stories about popping up on top a hill and the amish would be there in their wagon. Used to scare him to death!

d, we'd have to be like the US Olympic Hockey team or the NFC/AFC Pro-Bowl teams. We'd be awesome together on a PTO Dream Team but maybe not so much on a day-to-day basis.

JHB - Good help is hard to find. My maid hasn't been around forever and the place is really suffering. I think she ran off with the chauffeur.....

Back on coumadin this week so no more Miller Lite in the evenings. :( It was a nice break while it lasted.

A devout workaholic at my office job, I used to always tell my (skeptical) husband I wanted to be a "stay at home mom". However, I didn't any want stay-at-home kids ! They had to go off to school or daycare or something.

I assured him quite earnestly I'd wouldn't miss work at all because aside from my volunteer work, I'd be quite busy supervising the maid, cook, and gardener (who, unfortunately do not, and probably never will, exist.)

I thought it sounded like quite a nice plan; yet it fails to materialize....

Latte--please Latte--!!!

CC-I've said it before and I'll say it again...you and I were separated at birth. I read a post from you today and you used the word oxymoron...the EXACT word I ended my email today with for our PTO--it was entitled "Perfect Parenting"....I even looked up the word to make sure I spelled it right. At some point we have to meet face to face but NEVER be in the same PTO--we'd probably hate each other like sisters...

Sounds like a few hands of the B*#@& game is needed LUV. Everyone up to the game table and put your card in ...
I for one am tired of everyone asking what us work from home mother's do all day long during the school year. My reply has now grown to:
"Once the kids are off to school I sit down with a huge cup of latte and make out my maids to do list. After another cup of latte and the maid shows up I retire to the Whirlpool to enjoy my breakfast of bon bons while soaking. After an hour or so I meet with all the other mother's for lunch and wouldn't you know it the day is almost shot!" :D
