d, my son reacts the same way every time I talk about any of "that stuff". This weekend there was a public service commercial on tv with kids telling parents to tell their kids that they want them to wait until marriage to have sex. Both kids were in the room, so when the commercial ended I said, "I want you to wait until marriage to have sex." My daughter just rolled her eyes, but my son says, "Mom, that is so disgusting. Don't worry." I'm thinking, "Just give it another couple of years young man and you'll be thinking differently."
You know I had "the talk" with the 11 year old and I started everything from "the baby"...and worked my way out if you will. I think by the end of me saying every 3.6 seconds that "every time this happens, it could result in a BABY"....he might never need anything else.
It was actually pretty funny as he would but his hand up to his forehead every few minutes and say "Could you wait a minute mom....just give me a second"....before I went on to the next "factoid". About a week later he asked "do we have any other "things" like that we have to talk about"....kind of like he was bulking up on getting ready....
So I may just BUY a simulator baby--since with 4 boys I want to ensure that things go in order--you know dating, falling in love, marriage and THEN babies....

Started laughing when I read about the stimulator babies. My boys are the oldest in my family and the babies will be coming for a while. I plan to let them babysit (very,very often) their cousins to send home the message!

Our school does both boys and girls, but it is voluntary(they get extra credit), so my daughter said only one boy raised his hand to sign up and she felt like he was just doing it as a joke. I think it should be mandatory for all of the kids. My son who is in 6th grade, says he is going to take the baby when he is in 8th grade. He loves working with little kids and they always love him too.
