You know I really need to do some hunting and find some of their cds. I used to have 8 tracks of their albums-remember those? I introduced my kids to Ted Nugent a couple years ago and they have heard some AC/DC on the radio. Then there's the Def Leppard party we had three summers ago(they were in town performing)....

Finally got the finacing to buy my wifes Grandparents' house that we've been 'leasing to buy' for the last 8 yrs (1 off the list of things that want to make me jump off a low bridge).

Finally got the schools website basic templates done Calahan St Elem - just wiating for compalint err... I mean input

Now we just havta fix All Day Kindergarten (not enough classrooms- options: rearrange the Computer lab or the Parent Center (its really an aide/Copy Center- that's a rant for another day )

Our Amphitheatre is done, the field is seeded (no gras till Dec- takes time to grow), we just finished another of planning to plant trees (Oct 21) and elped 22 other schools start on their way (I will rid LAUSD of 8 million tons of blacktop Said Gumby (sp?)

We went about 10 minutes over, but no one was fidgeting because we were in the middle of something very important. Finally, a wonderful parent made a motion and a teacher jumped in and seconded and we voted. The membership even voted to let the board take on one of the issues we were stuck on. Nice to know they trust us to make the decision.

My co-prez and I chatted for awhile after then I went home, kissed my kids good night, talked to my husband and watched a rerun of Everybody Loves Raymond. That sent me to bed with a smile on my face.

That's what virtual drinks are for. Hope all goes well and stays under 60 minutes. We talked about just stopping at 60 minutes even if we aren't done to try to keep people on time and on topic. I've even said, lets come back to that topic after we get the easier stuff done!

First meeting tonight!!! I need a stiff drink. I was going to request a margarita, but I just heard a song on the radio called "Tequila Makes Her Clothes Fall Off", so I'm thinking not such a good idea!

Think I'll sit in the corner and run through my list of "stuff" for the meeting. The agenda is pretty big with the beginning of the year and all but we promised to try to keep it at an hour. Gonna have to keep things moving-no chit chat or straying to irrelevant issues. Should I bring the gavel or the duct tape?

Let me know what components you have and need and maybe I can getcha something that wont need upgraded in a month or 2
