You know Mykids you're probably right-they would hunt me down.

I brought some candy corn to add to the peanuts-gotta try it. It's that wonderful blend of sweet and salty, like frosted pretzels at Christmas.

Give me a Coke too-Diet with Splenda please. I'm feeling kind of disappointed. Today is my birthday and my son is the only one who even said anything. I got a big hug and two big kisses-best gift a mom can get. We'll see if my husband and daughter acknowledge me this evening or if I've just been forgotten. My husband came from a family that never made a fuss over birthdays so he just doesn't see the big deal. I came from a family that made it a "national holiday". It's one of the few conflicts we have so I guess I should get over it. Maybe I'll take my son out for dinner and leave them at home!!! Well, enough of the self pity, I'm going to go bake a big chocolate cake to share!

Pepsi (Yuck) Coca-Cola for me or coffee.

Just trying to get everything ready for next year so when I become PTA prez, I can sit back and relax (like that'll really happen  )

Peanuts, sounds like I need to add that to the grocery list (Yum).

Cards won and the Sox are getting bombed  - the boys are napping, daughter is doin' homework (No school- Jewish holiday), I might actually get some work done.

And Luv, you and I both know if you went in a 6 you would get done what you needed to do only to be caught by the staff coming in as you are trying to leave!!

So our Exe Director (aka Superindentant) was no renewed on her contract last year after 6 months of investigations etc. Our new Director is night a day difference! He likes PTOs , he wants us to be sucessful and he enjoys talking to us! I know I talked about the great relationship I had with the former Director but it is nothing to what I am being offered now!

SHAWN!!!! I need your spirit! After so many years of hearing "No" and getting a total run around I am actually being asked "So kid, what are your plans for this year? No, really, what do you want to do?" (he calls me "kid") The first meeting I have had with "Doc" was more like coffee with an old friend than meeting the "new guy"! Don't get me wrong! I am so excited but in the same breath....wait I NEED A BREATH!

Here, let's talk and I'll look for the pepsi I stashed....hehe...ooo! peanuts!

Okay, I stopped into the school this morning to do some final stuff for book fair and put the spirit wear orders in the teachers' mailboxes before I headed off to work. I figured 15 minutes tops. Next thing I know I'm surrounded by three teachers and the school nurse. It started off with a question about how much in funds will the teachers be getting, then blossomed into why is it different from last year. Then it jumped to how much is the media center getting from the book fair or is all the profit going for the free books? Then the school nurse jumps in to rescue me with the comment that I am trying to do too much and she will start hitting parents up to help. It was supposed to be a hint to the others to leave me alone, but didn't work. It just started a whole discussion on parental involvement. I was just about ready to scream "STOP!!!" when the principal poked her head out of the office and gave them a sort of "leave her alone" look, so they scattered. I like to be approachable, but sometimes I need a cloak of invisibility. I'm thinking of coming in at 6am with the daycare folks so no one will be here or maybe start wearing an ipod with earphones and sing real loud and offkey while I work?!!
