My Sheppard/Rottie mix would also just lick someone to death eventhough he's 120 pounds and mean looking- he just wants to be pet.

My Cubs and Indians didnt make it to the playoffs and so my adopted team Angels got robbed by a blind ump (maybe he can inrole in our PTA/School's vision program)

Root for ND over USC, just spent 4 days at a Conference at USC for Building Effective Schools Together (Discipline, refferrals, and Effective rules, expectations, implementaion, teaching) and the USC supporters wore me thin.

Good food and for what could have been a VERY DULL subject, the trainers did a marvelous job of making it interesting, informative, and fun.

We've got a LOT of work to do (all minor issues) getting parents, teachers, and Our 1 problem AP to buy-in will be the biggest hurdle.)
Our rules (expectaions), procedures, rewards, positive reinforcement and punishment need to be updated, everyone on same page, so more time can be spent on education and educating.

I have cookies!!??

Yesterday I went to pick-up my boys from school to go to church and outsdie was their bus driver. I reminded him no boys tonight and mentioned that I had called Aminal Control on two dogs that are at the house on the corner of our stop. He looked surprised but I told him that the dog scared my boys to death and other kids are scared too. When we came home my daughter (she rode the bus home) told me the dogs broke throught the fence and started charging at one of the kids getting off our bus! The driver yelled at the kid to get back on and at a mom and her little one to get on too! She had her cell with her and called 911 and the bus driver kept talking to the kids to keep'em calm. Animal Control took the dogs, the police sited the owners (of course they weren't home ) and did a quick mend to the broken fence. OH MY!!!

SO I baked the bus driver cookies and thanked him half a dozen times and he thanked me for telling him about the dogs, too.

I love my golden retriver, she'll lick ya to death but alwasys has a hug for our little ones.

Okay, let me preface this rant with a little background on my personality: I need balance and organization. I need things to get set and not keep changing.

Now.....

I have a treasurer who can't seem to get things done, children who seem to think my kitchen counter and the floor right inside the door are the depositories for all their stuff, and we have now changed my daughter's private music lesson for the 4th time in two months because of an annoying group that can't seem to figure out what time they need their session to be and appear to not realize that it affects other people. That is all on top of the annoying co-worker who seems to think I am beneath him and treats me like dirt. Yesterday I came in and he claimed one of the printers was broken(he said it like it was my fault), then I heard the "we tried everything and it won't work". I walked over shut it off, turned it back on and away it went. Two engineers and they can't figure out a printer. Morons!

I need a stiff drink and a big piece of something chocolate.

I'm "not allowed" birthdays anymore per my dear Dad whom nearly freaked out when I was 30! Wondering how Mom will be when my brother has his 30'th bithday next year! Of course I remembered about the "shoes"!

Monday night is our first meeting (due to "poopy" the Admin planned an open house the same night as our first offical meeting in September!) and we have so much to talk about! Unfornutaly the Prez last year promised meeting would last at least an hour- that's IT! UGH! My VP is so awsome! She reminded me we get through as much as we can and vote on the rest later! Just nervous as I haven't been President for a while and there is so much the new Director has envisioned for us I don't want to disappiont him but I want to see so many changes!

I better get back to Halloween decorations! Suppose to rain and *gasp* snow this week!

Thank you for the kind words and good wishes. I made them all supper. The kids didn't come when called and my husband was 25 minutes late. I ate, then got a phone call from a teacher who retired last year saying she had purchased a replacement tree for one we had planted at the school that didn't survive the drought and would I like to come help her plant it. I jumped in the car like a flash and had a great time digging and talking to her. Well, it was great except for the giant ant hill we disturbed in digging out the old tree. Those ants weren't happy and had no problem showing us by biting the heck out of our legs!

There were homemade birthday cards when I got home. I guess better late than never. My mom says that she prefers not to be reminded of how old she is getting!
