american girl company. you have to submit on official letterhead a request for an application to the following address:
charitable contributions committee
american girl
8400 fairway place
middleton, wi 53563

Pretty much they want to help groups who are raising money to benifit groups of children age specific birth- 12yrs

Once you send back your application, it will be considered. (I think they also want it at least 6 weeks in advance) maggie

hi, just coming to post that Giant foods willl donate up to 25$ per month to an organization, they just want the request on official stationary and what the event is.

With Walmart and Kmart, do you just go to the individual store?

Our border's will do donations as well, but the person told me to get your request in early because they get so many, and make it as specific as you can.

This is so much fun. :> ) maggie

This is such a great idea!!
We ask our local supermarkets (King Soopers, safeway, KMart has been great, Wal Mart)
I have really had good luck with local businesses- they are always looking for a tax break and who better htan a school!!
Even service groups lend a helping hand! My husband belongs to the Optimist International Group and they have given us $250 for books for a new library.
McDonalds is good but the corporate stores instead of the franchises can be helpful. Pizza Hut is a good one, actually anything Pepsi owns is a good bet! (Pizza Hut, Taco Bell, KFC, I can't think any more!!
--can you tell my husband has a retail background??
Old Navy does a lot with the city, Barnes and Noble offers bookfairs at their store then donates a percentage to your group other than that....Home Depot is a good place but you have to keep following up with them.
This is long.. sorry but I have been busy with this aspect of our school and PTO!
