Thanks for all the great info! One of the biggest hits at our auction the past four years has been the ticket donations we receive from our sports/entertainment arena. They have generously donated tickets to the Longhorn Rodeo, Amy Grant's Christmas Concert, and one year they sent four tickets to a New Years Eve Concert hosted by Tim McGraw. All we did was write and ask. And our school is located 60 miles away from the arena! Also, if you are located near one of the "Mills Corp." mega-malls, contact your local mall's marketing manager. Opry Mills donated 2 $25 gift certs. to our auction last year. Good Luck with all your events!

hi, just wanted to let you know that coca cola will donate. I emailed them via their web page and they replied very quickly with the regional address to send my request too. Very pleasant people! Good luck, maggie

I went to askjeeves.com and asked for famous people's addresses. There were a couple of links with great lists. One link listed a ton of names I didn't even recognize. I'm thinking they may be ball players, etc. from teams that I don't follow. Good Luck!

Wow! This is great.

(Our webmaster is working hard to make sure we have the bandwidth, but....)

My favorite auction prize came from my hometown. Big prize was a chance to ride in a seat of honor on top of a fire engine ladder truck during the town's annual Founder's Day parade.

It's actually featured in this old (but goody) story:

Tammy the list is above. No not everyone will response and in fact you will find that celebrities change their address quite frequently so that is why I suggested that you buy the updated book of address though your bookstore. You will get alot of sorry I can't help you but overall the get more back then you would even imagine. Here the celebrity autograph's went over big. But we got alot of package deals too. This is something that takes ton's of time and isnt a one night and we mail them off and we are done thing. The donation letter is something that you need to work on... telling them what you are going to do, when you are going to do it, why you are doing it and ask them for what you want. THe way I looked at it was they could only tell me no. Hey I even sent a letter to Italy asking for a dress. It cost only the postage. Good luck
