Thanks crazy! Shorty says he can't wait to help me with my homework. After the practice math test I just took, I can see I'm going to need a lot of help. "Use it or lose it" definitely applies to algebra and geometry!

Good for your daughter, too! She sounds like a true karate person. You must be very proud.

momo5 - that's too funny! Glad your son knows this important fact at 12. Most men never figure it out....

Some people come into our lives and quickly go. Some stay for awhile and leave footprints on our hearts. And we are never, ever the same."

"The ultimate aim of karate lies not in victory or defeat but in the true perfection of one's character."

Took second oldest son to doctor today about the shaking in his hands. Doctor states that it is normal, just a little more noticable than others. Still orders a blood test to check the thyroid. Ok, son, 12, does NOT DO NEEDLES!! Get to the lab outside and gets real quiet, turns pale, then gets into the chair in the lab and starts shaking and crying. (Mr. Cool, Mr. Hottie, Mr. Macho) Thought he was going to pass out. SCREAMED... when the needle went in and his sisters run to the door of the lab pushing the baby in the stroller and inquired if their big brother is ok. Of course he is, but to him, no where near.

My sister works in the clinic, so we walk over to her department, OBGYN and she takes one look at him, pale as a ghost and asks if he is ok (with the red, swollen eyes from crying) as he slides down the wall and sits on the floor. Yep, just give him a few minutes and he'll recover. She then decides it would be funny to go in the other room and comes out producing the needle, a rather HUGH needle used for epidurals. He takes one look at it and announces "Thank God I'm not a woman!".
