Sorry momo3. Sounds like you have a new pet. :p

I have two new pets. A frog is living in my garage and a finch is living literally on the threshold of my back door. Both are driving the cats crazy. Must be something to do with all the rain......

Class was fun. My age is probably higher than the combined ages of all of the other students. OK, not really, (or - why I flunked the math placement test) but I am definitely the oldest, by a lot. The teacher is older than me though...

I just found out tonight that my 42 year old twin brother is a grandpa. I didn't even know there was a grandchild on the way. I'm not sure he did either ~ until today.

Why don't I have that kind of luck??? Kids come home this afternoon with a cute dog following them. Very friendly, but no tags. They want to find the owner. Made up flyers and posted in the neighborhood, called and put ad in paper, put ad on local message board (got blasted from someone who doesn't live in this town that I shouldn't have taken it, it would find it's way back home. I didn't take it, it followed the kids home wanting them to play with it. Called the humane society about taking it, need to set up appointment and they can take it when they get room...they gave me a number to call that someone had lost a dog similar to this....the number is disconnected. Called the humane socitey back and they said whoever took the number wrote it on a sticky note and didn't put the owners name.

My youngst had a very serious look on his face last night during dinner, turned to me and asked "Mom (pause) do we have an easy button?" Of course once can only smile (trying hard not to bust out) and answer "no honey we don't." Now there's a thought ... life with an easy button. I am now wondering if I should go out and get one just for kicks.

Oh My Goodness CC--out of the frying pan and into the fire. Glad the issue over what is not visible is solved :). Hate it when the lawyers have to get involved. Just such a bore and you KNOW his work was free.

Okay--I'm not going to say this too loudly but THERE IS WATER GOING INTO MY POOL....THERE IS REALLY...and the great debate today was how we would possible get out the three little froggies that are swimming in there and now destined for froggie heaven. Oh well...frog legs for dinner.

You know I never cease to be amazed by the small incidentals that raising children bring to light. Today in the store I was with 7 and 5 year old. We got a cart that had a wheel that would bumble (you know what I mean) about every 30 seconds. The boys were on the cart holding on and it became just natural for the both to start going "ahhhhhhhhhh" so their voices would bumble too. I mean all through the store they did that and I just had to smile to myself. The emphasis of everyday little nuances that children bring life to amazes me.

Congratulate me ~ I'm the VP of our homeowner's association. Hubby nominated me for President and then immediately retracted the nomination when I shot a look across the room. So, he ended up as Secretary....

On a positive note, the grouchy neighbor has no legal leg to stand on. The homeowners unanimously voted that the trailer being parked behind the garage falls within their interpretation of "concealed from view". We'll have our lawyer send a letter to his lawyer and really nothing came of it except that the lawyers have a little more of our money. Balance in the universe is restored.....

Ouch--what kind of welcome to the neighborhood is that. Go get em girl. We built in a development where there is no HOA which is nice sometimes but sometimes I wouldn't mind the curb police to jump on some of these folks (she says after not mowing her front area for way too long).

Tell us how the meeting goes...d
