I think I'm going into delirium. Family Fun and Games Night tomorrow. PTOtoday kit has plans for about 100 people. I have 200 coming! Tomorrow I will be shopping and chopping veggies for relish trays. And THANK GOODNESS for teenagers! Yes, that's right. Some wonderful high schoolers are saving me from putting parents to work at Family Night. I think I'll hug them all!!
Welcome Closetwriter! It's always a fun thing when you do the labels,Box Tops, etc. Some people have absolutely no common sense. I've recieved grocery receipts with the Box Tops (I guess they felt obligated to prove that they actually purchased the item?!), entire lids off cartons (instead of the square), you name it. Now our letters are very specific...(after you use the item, take your scissors and move your fingers apart and closed to initiate cutting...)if only we could actually put that down. Anybody listened to the comedian Bill Engvall? (Here's your sign...) he's too funny! My favorite is when you have the membership drive, people send notes asking if their children need to join the PTA in order to recieve the benefits (yes, that actually happened this year!) I'm about ready to strangle some of the teachers at our school-not all, just a select few. We sent out a wish list to them at the beginning of the school year to see what they would like for their classroom--they have everything that they need, but we wanted to see if there were some extras that they would benefit from having. Unfortunately, our fall fundraiser BOMBED, and we came no where close to making budget. I have recieved notes from four teachers asking when they would recieve the stuff that they requested. What nerve!!! They are more than aware of the budget, and the money that we did earn will be used for the students programs, etc. UGH! Shots are on me!
Hey LUVMYKIDS, I'll join you with the drinks. I just found out that the teachers don't have anything they want put into the school newsletter this month. It was supposed to be sent out last Friday, but I gave them a little more time to get the info to me because of the holidays.
So now I plan on filling in the blank spaces with some extra PTO info (we get to put some of our info in it, but it's really supposed to be about school activities.

Hey Luv, I'll have a pina colada with double rum please, I'm in big need today. No school due to freezing rain, and we have a Krispie Kreme fundraiser this week and Donuts with Dads on Monday and Tuesday. Sure didn't need a day when it's not safe to drive.
Guess I'll pull up a bar stool and have a drink.
