OK, here's a funny story.....
In my 20s, people always said to me, "You know, you look like a young Meryl Streep."
In my 30s, people said, "Hey, you look a lot like Meryl Streep."
Now, in my 40s, everyone says, "Wow, you look
just like Meryl Streep!"
I often notice people staring at me when I'm out in public, but this weekend was the worst! Muskegon, Michigan must be the home of the Meryl Streep fan club. Even the chinese guy at the food court's stir fry place went nuts. I don't think he believed me when I said I wasn't her. At least he didn't ask for an autograph. My son and I walked around the mall and people were actually stopping and turning around to look at me. I went to the bathroom and looked in the mirror just to be sure I wasn't wearing my lo mein on my face or anything gross like that. The next evening I was out for dinner with my husband and son and people were actually turning around in their chairs, pointing at me, whispering.... It was crazy and even almost scary. Seriously, if I were a famous actress, I don't think I'd be having a casual dinner at the Logan's Roadhouse in Muskegon, Michigan!
Well, now that my PTO career is over maybe I should move to Las Vegas and join one of those celebrity impersonator troupes!!!
