dlf - you're amazing. I've been on the verge of tears all day and now there's no holding them back. Beautiful poem!!!

There is a row of five houses, each having a different color. In these houses live five different people of various nationalities. Each of them nutures a different beast, likes different drinks and smokes different brands of cigars.

1. The Brit lives in the Red house.

2. The Swede keeps dogs as pets.

3. The Dane drinks Tea.

4. The Green house is on the left of the White house.

5. The owner of the Green house drinks coffee.

6. the person who smokes Pall Mall rears birds.

7. The owner of the yellow house smokes Dunhill.

8. the man living in the center house drinks milk.

9. The Norwegian lives in the first house.

10. The man who smokes Blends lives next to the one who keeps cats.

11. The man who keeps horses lives next to the an who smokes Dunhills.

12. the man who smokes Blue Master drinks Beer.

13. The German smokes Prince.

If it were my son, I would tell him that he can always be friends with this girl and that gives him a reason to get good grade so he can go to college anywhere he wants.
My husband, on the other hand, would probably mention that there are tons of hot girls in Alabama that don't know that you were once a goofey kid and play video games with him while letting him order from Pizza Hut online.

The irony of commitment is that it’s deeply liberating-in work, in play, in love. The act frees you from the tyranny of your internal critic, from the fear that likes to dress itself up and parade around as rational hesitation. To commit is to remove your head as the barrier to your life. --Anne Morris

Happy to listen any time. I had a friend who moved a year ago and her son was so quiet and shy, I was worried about him. ( I was worried about her to 'cause her husband is a jerk and he was going to have her hundreds of miles away instead of right down the street from me, but it was her decision to go.) She didn't work that summer and part of the fall so she could help him find things to do and meet some friends. He is doing great and is back here visiting his dad for the summer so we got a phone message yesterday about spending time with us this weekend. As a kooky middle schooler, he left no call back number so hopefully he'll call again today. Probably won't get my usual hug now that he's a big 8th grader! I'm sure my husband will give him the evil eye too in regards to our daughter, but it's nice that he still wants to be with us when he comes back.

Dr. Phil is passive aggressive. So what! If you're having fun torturing your arrogant co-worker then good for you!!! It sounds like he deserves it.

Thanks for the advice too. My son is having a tough time. The internet is a God send and I think he'll burn through a few modems the first few weeks after we move. Her mom would definitely let her visit, even stay for a few days because she trusts us. More than the gushy teenage stuff, the two are just really best friends - that's the hard part. Thanks for listening....
