Got out of Army and a messy divorce and a few friends that lived in SoCal whispered, Sun, Beaches, Babes in Bikini, Security-Bar-jobs-lotso $$$ (they didnt tell me and I didnt check- the outrageous cost of living, and I should have known Armed Services gives pay increases for that, so u check before being stationed)

Kinda got stuck and liked the business' I have just the cost of living and # of kids are outgaining our income.

I miss the country, we've been looking but wifes salary has 2 be compared or my new salary (after 15 yrs of wroking 4 me, myself and I, INC. -looking for semi-employment and cutting back my business hours)

I miss the seasons, rolling hils (not neccessarily mtns, I'm surrounded by 'em), snow, RAIN- I love SoCal but I'd move in a heartbeat if we found the right curcumstances- and 50 acres :cool: )

Had a creek behind our house in Indy- havent heard anyone talk about 'wading in the crick' forever

Used to go down 2 Pigforg/Gatinburb every winter with my best friend from HS/College Roomates family to pick up cute girls and ski.

Was always fun.

and No water feture/playgrounds in the local parks down in OC (Orange County), he thinks the Disney place across (Disney Adventures?- neither of us could remember the name))from Disneyland has one.

You could hope the Red/Blueline (Amtrak- from Anaheim 2 Simi though for like $7 Ad and I think its free or a couple $$ for kids) and we'd pick you up

It's actually Dollywood.

It's very pretty in the winter in gatlinburg, we rented a cabin and had snowball fights in the hot tub outside. Truly a great time...with out the kids. [img]smile.gif[/img]

mykids - my kids have begged us to take them to the mountains this past week while we were on vcn. However, with gas, we said NO. All they talked about was Gatlinberg and how we never go any where.( we've been there 5000 times. [img]smile.gif[/img] ) Well their vcn was a $350.00 water slide that they haven't played on but twice this past week.
They'd rather go fishing or wading in the creek. Boys will be boys...
