And yes, if being bilingual is required for the job, that should be said up front - in English and Spanish!

Sounds like your interviewer is a spoiled husband -- probably never changed a diaper never shpped for groceries w kids in tow. It is he that doesnt konw about reallife. Ya gotta feel sorry for his wife, if he has one. He probably married an OLD TIME southern gal who is used to doing everything for hubby.

Okay Rant and Rave time its early in the morning and I'm peeved...

After 15 yr of running my own companies, my wife has been ill, have 5 kid and the economy/cost of living in SoCal is killing us.

So been job hunting.... Had a bunch of interviews last week from barback 2 IT guy (yes I'm good/great at a lot of thing but exeptional at none)

So I go in for a 3rd interview with Ben Stillers (twin, no kidding) thought the first and second went okay, he then proceeeds to "Well 25-27 isnt that kinda of a wide range?" Uuuhh NO !!!!
25 low. 26 mid, 27 hi. 15-to say 30 YES.
Next couple questions go okay. Then he says so you've run your own company for 15 yrs. Uh Yea we've been over this 3 times now. Then ask about the worst transaction we've ever had. (Bear with me this is a long story)
One of my companies buys and sells collectible cards (Baeball, Magic, Yu-gi-oh, Star Wars, Pokemon etc. We had bought 5,000 boxes of a companies cards form a store in Columbia, neeedless 2 say customs cut open the boxes and destroyed the packaging, for a presold (collectors buy them in the package 4 a reason), so I have 2 on the same day a tournament with 1200 entrants, pick up my sick kids 'cuz babysiitter is also, drive 2 LAX, with hunngry baby, throwing up other kids, wait in 2 hrs traffic, get into the customs area with said kids, sort thru and salvage customers orders plus tourney prizes while on phone running tourney, with now 5 sick/ and or hungry/ tired kids, this story goes on.... for another couple of hour worth. After the dissertation he asks. Do you have something that relate to GET THis REALLIFE repsonsibilities!!!!

I bit my tounge so hard I spit on him and almost yanked his ass over the desk.

The other one was 4 a paremt teacher liason 4 the local school district, after 2 interviews they left a mssg today, that they reguire the position to be bilingual spanish/english (theres a 2% Spansih and 25% Asian I need 2 know frigging Spanish 4 why? I could see some kind of Asian (Chinese, Viet, Korean, Mandarian) but not once wa it mentioned or on their apps or job postings.

Grrrrr.

Bummer On the run times, now sitting with family/freinds whether there's coldbeer or not, is one of the best.

Mmmm, coldbeer. I can't have that anymore. My husband had his favorite kind of night last night - hanging out with his brother in the parking lot of the hotel after a race, sitting on the tailgate of his Chevy truck, drinking a cold beer from the cooler and reliving his victory run.

We lost the race today - broke out by running a 9.28 on a 9.30 dial in. At least we're finally having fun running that hemi!

Shawn - I love that song. My husband sings it to me all the time. He'd be miserable if he were married to anyone but me. And so would I!!!

One week until the movers show up. I hope Alabama is ready for us.
