Yesterday , my 2nd and 4th grader got on the bus and I cried... am I pathetic or what? My kindergartener starts next week.. then my preschooler the week after that.
I did not want the summer to end! Back to a routine and 20 committments. :(

Thanks for the song Shawn. I knew when I married him, that he wasn't a big romantic and his mom told me the procrastination thing is hereditary(got it from his dad), but still I always hope for a little effort. Sometimes he surprises me and he must talk about me, because his coworkers comment on how I cook and stuff I'm involved in. He really is a great husband and a great dad-so I'll get over the dinner.

Ooooooo, marshmallow peeps. I love marshmallow peeps. Had to remove them from my diet though when I found out I was diabetic. Sometimes I share one with one of the kids.

mykids & Shawn - I can't keep up with you anymore! All summer we're night owls so this new 5:30am alarm is killing me. It's off to bed by 9:00 or 9:30 these days.

Keys to the school, huh? I never got those. Shawn, it looks like you're going to be pretty busy with tire chips, trees, awnings..... Sounds like there's a whole pile of community service badges just waiting for the local boy/girl scouts.

My community service class planted a tree at my last school. That was fun! Messy, but fun.

Speaking of romance, most people would say my husband isn't romantic. Traditionally speaking, he isn't the wine and roses kind of guy. But he knows that I love marshmallow peeps and brings them home to me. He knows that I use his arm for a pillow but that I still need a real pillow right behind my head. I don't use it, just need it there. So when he lies down at night, he extends his arm and places the pillow just right. He doesn't throw compliments around but his co-workers think I'm an angel because of all the nice things he says about me at work...... Who needs candlelight dinners when you can share a box of peeps!

Our anniversary was a couple weeks ago. My husband is a HUGE procrastinator and just couldn't make up his mind whether my mom should come over or if we'd drop the kids at her house or where we were going to go. Since I have become incredibly tired of handling EVERYTHING and having him always be late-I planned dinner at home. Then late in the afternoon he wants to know where we're going. I say nowhere because I got tired of asking him. We end up going out with the kids. Let's just say it wasn't a very romantic evening.

Note to self
Remember when
You use to light her up
When you walked in
And she stole your breath away
That's the way it was
Everytime you kissed her
And she still does

Hmm I ain't gonna mess it up this time
Hmmmmmmm I'm gonna really make her proud she's mine

Turning down the street
I'm pulling in the drive
Door ain't lock
So I step inside
She ain't here to greet me
So what's goin on?
Note self
She's already gone

Hmmmm gone
Hmmmmmmmm gone

Hmmmmmm I guess I really messed it up this time...
