We went to a NASCAR race almost 4 years ago for our anniversary and got our 3rd child 9 months later. What can I say, I really like the races! Of course, my husband refuses to take me again until we can afford a bigger house.
Last year for our anniversary (10/9), we took the kids to get Halloween costumes and pizza at CiCi's.

The irony of commitment is that it’s deeply liberating-in work, in play, in love. The act frees you from the tyranny of your internal critic, from the fear that likes to dress itself up and parade around as rational hesitation. To commit is to remove your head as the barrier to your life. --Anne Morris

So, I'm reading People magazine (a guilty pleasure) and see that there's a new muppet on Sesame Street - Abby Cadabby. How cute is that?!?! I was in Kindergarten when Sesame Street started and I still love it. I guess I don't watch it though because I didn't know about Abby.

The only bad part about kindergarten was that my name is Wanda and Sesame Street just started with a character named Wanda the Witch. That was unfortunate timing......

Mailboxes! @#^$&5(!!! My new postman is completely incapable of working my mailbox. I've lived here 5 weeks and have had to fix it a dozen times. It's an ancient, cast iron thing with a heavy door. Apparently, he thinks he needs to slam the thing closed. But no, it's very simple and the easier you are on it, the easier it closes. Instead, he constantly bends the latch and breaks the hinge. Sheesh. I refuse to replace it with a standard issue plastic Rubbermaid mailbox!

Anniversaries..... I've had 23 of them (all with the same man). We only officially celebrated one of them (#10) with a five day weekend at Tan Tar A in the Ozarks in Missouri. Nine months later our son was born! My husband is a big cheese ball. He says "Every day we're married is a celebration of our love and commitment." That's how he gets out of buying presents. I guess it's worked for him for 23 years so why change now?!?! It makes sense. His family never celebrates anniversaries but they have ZERO divorces. My family makes a big deal out of every single one and they're all divorced (some of them more than once, or twice, or .... still counting....)

Not a big "Warrant Fan" but I own like tons of KISS stuff (albums, lunchboxes, concert tees attended 1978-2004, all 3 set of action figures)

Gene the Happily Unmarried to Shannon Tweed and his family are hysterical.

The last time I told someone I was from Iowa the first thing they asked was if I had ever tipped over a cow. I honestly laughed at them and asked "why the he?? would you tip over a cow? What did it do to you? Beside their crap is so hard to get off your shoes! I have gotten chickens drunk on cheap beer. NOW THAT is funny!"

On our 15 annversary we went out to eat and ended up at Target buying school supplies in July! Now the funny thing here is I would rather shop with my 5 kids than my husband! He NEVER stays with me! NEVER! :rolleyes:Now I know why his mom hated to shop with him!

OMGh...Heaven Isn't Too Far Away is on VH1 Classic...is it bad I knew all the words? OOHHH KISS! Heaven's on Fire! But no make-up.
Has anyone seen Gene Simmon's show Familiy Jewels? SO funny! His son is 17 and 6'7"! NO kidding and quick with one liners that just kill! Very clean but killer!
Oh the dumbest thing I heard today....our secretary is upset because she feels she was never properly trained....what? OH so that's why for a year now we have never had minutes and I'm a terrible President.....yes, she said this. How much longer till May? ;)
