What a lovely Autumn morning we're having here in Northern Alabama. This really is my most favorite time of year! I love to get up, start the coffee maker, fire up the oven (well, push the buttons... it's electric) to bake muffins, put on my sweater and finally not have to hear the steady hum of the A/C (money flying out of my wallet!). Hubby gets depressed this time of year (SAD) but I get ridiculously happy so I have enough energy to drag us both through the cold months.

Everyone help yourselves to some coffee and chocolate chip muffins!

Oh, and for those of you who think you have the worst job ever - at least you're not a line judge at Brazil Trophy in Sao Paulo! (Caution: kinda gross but not gorey. Glad it wasn't me!)

Our Walmart carries both cookie and brownie mixes. One of our teachers donated them for our cake walk last year and they were snatched up immediately.
I've been sitting here watching tv tonight and I can't decide if any of the new tv shows are worth watching. Not like I have time, but they are usually running in the background as I'm doing stuff that needs to get done.

The irony of commitment is that it’s deeply liberating-in work, in play, in love. The act frees you from the tyranny of your internal critic, from the fear that likes to dress itself up and parade around as rational hesitation. To commit is to remove your head as the barrier to your life. --Anne Morris

Our Costco carries the Brownie mix but only the Cookie mix every so often- as much as I whine its still not a regular item.

Yeah, I know the chiggars/nail polish trick (by dad always came back from summer camp dotted with it), but what about the millions of tiny bits of fiberglass insulation?

Seems I'm going to have to give up my vegetarian goal. Try as I might, it isn't compatable with being on coumadin. Or maybe the truth is I'm not really trying hard enough (?!?!?!?!) but I agree with everyone else - Mmmmm, chocolate!

My son's favorite treat is Ghirardelli Chocolate Chip Cookies mix but I haven't found it at any of the local stores. And, YES!, their brownies are oh so yummy. :)
