Luv--mine too has a whole chet full of t-shirts! And lord forbid one of them wonder off! I had a friend going to the Braves game recently and she borrowed one of his shirts from me--meaning he didn't know. Now this shirt hasn't been worn in a good year or so cause he got mad at the braves last year and blah blah blah, so anyway, that very night (!!!) he came and looking for that one shirt! how did he know that!!! :confused:
his polo style shirts have taken over our closet. between suits, work casual, home casual and stuff left from the 80's, his stuff takes up way more than mine!

Is it something in the air? We've been having closet issues too. We have two closets in our bedroom-his very deep with two shelves and hanging areas stacked, mine is bigger in size but is one l-shaped shelf and rack. I gave him a portion of mine when we moved into the house because he needed a whole rack in his for his 12 suits. Several years ago the company went corporate casual so those suits only come out for very special occasions and funerals and then he really only uses a couple of them. Lately he has been taking over more of MY closet space. He keeps shoving my stuff together and sticking in more of his polo and casual shirts. I've commented a couple of times and got nothing but snotty remarks and then silence. I belong to a charitable group that does an annual rummage sale and I'm thinking that some of those suits may just wander away from his closet so I can reclaim my space! Oh, and don't even get me started on his huge dresser drawer full of nothing but t-shirts from the races he's run in!

CC, the problem with the closet isn't just about husbands. The closet was redone when we were remodeling the house. It is much better than it was before the remodel, but I specifically asked for the exact deminsions of the last closet-a totally doable request. I did not get that. It's not as deep, the top shelf is the wrong size, and the bar is about a foot too high. I'm only 5'2" so this is a real inconvenience and also decreases shelf space. Needless to say, everytime I have issues in the closet, my husband, who helped do it, takes it to heart. So he decided to bite back. I guess I deserved it. Even though he will never understand what it means to need a step stool every single time you need to hang something up because he is 6'2"!
As for the stuff, most of it is various kinds of papers that need to be sorted and put in the filing cabinet or taken to the PTO closet at the school. I also, don't have room for my linens so I spent the whole day going store to store to try to find those space bags to try to make do with what I have. We have a lot left to do on the house, but, when tax money comes in, I'm secretly hiring someone to come in and fix the shelf/bar situation because my arms are extremely worn out.
Also, the boxes are out of the closet but all the stuff that was in them is now in various stacks on a card table in the dining room waiting to be filed. I guess the bonus out of all this is that I finally gathered a stack of misc medicine receipts to send in for a flex spending refund-so I'll be getting about $150 in exchange for all my stress and work.
$150 = lots of trips for Starbucks!!!!
