Shawn, I walk right in the mens bathroom at he ballpark with my boys (6 & 8) and then stand at the door talking to the other men coming in and looking at me like I am nuts. I then stand right at the door so I can see my boys. I don't care! i live in a small community and according to the GA Dept. of Investigations we have 36 sex offenders who are registered in our community. no telling how many unregistered. And considering all that happened this week in CO, no way i am taking a chance with my boys. that whole story just breaks my heart. How do you ever recover from losing a child. i had a miscarriage several years ago and didn't think i would get over that, so i simply can't and don't want to imagine. at least that guy killed himself.

Hey on a good note, we held our cake walk today. had over 100 cakes donated, started at 9:30. By 11:00 our wheel was smoking (not really) from spinning nonstop and we were making a trip to walmart for snack cakes! We had to turn it into snack cake walk! and still stayed busy! Made 500.00 on donated cakes just by sending out fliers to parents and spending a day spinning a wheel and acting crazy with the kids and parents! I came in the door, went straight to couch and passed out for 3 hours and now ready for more!

Brandi- if its not in IE history or cached unless you have a copy stored in another folder not sure if there's much that can be done till their servers are backup- that's some upgrade if all pages are down- most switch to 2nd server so pages stay up while 1st is being replaced) Not good!!!!

We had more interesting news here in SoCal- 36 Sex offenders staying in one (Super 8) Motel- parole agents got in trouble, so far, the Hotel chain pulled the franchises license (good for them), hundreds protested outside hotel, the media was there- unfrotunately it keeps happening and nobody gets fired, beat or stomped thats in charge of this crap...

My wifes boss couldnt believe I stand outside the restroom when my kids go -- and that was before this string of assaults in bathrooms here in SoCal -- there is no overprotective I told him

Shawn - my site has been down since Thursday...I believe. If you go to orgsites home page they tell you to do something w/ your history...my history is cleared out daily...so I can't fix it that way.

I am at a loss. They haven't emailed me back. I am sure that there are many sites with the same problem.

I'm feeling down- not like me. I put together a costume exchange fundraiser and it was a TOTAL flop. The killer was that the parents with children in the preschool program didn't even come support. There was just that core group of 5 parents- working away! I advertised heavily- radio & 5 papers. What went wrong? We really need this one to stay afloat. I'm bummed!

wow - get out of the fast lane for a few days and look what you miss! Welcome Menio - your going to need the caffine and sugar to keep up with this group!

It's been a crazy busy week here. Mon - meeting, Tues - PTA meeting, Wed- youngests 1st gs scout meeting, Thr- 5th grade promotion meeting (my oldest daughter is going to middle school -forget the girly drinks! I'm going to need jack straight up!!!) and Friday night was our PTA BBQ dinner. :eek:

Top all that off with me having a full blown algebra test on Mon (CC and Shawn - failed the last one - but the silver lining is we went over it extensivly and I think I might have a grip on it), and 2 paper topics due Tues and Thurs. I think I might go visit the funny farm before all is said and done!

Roof and Menio - I'm feeling your pain where your girls are concerned. My oldest is 10 1/2 - acts..... well just insert a much older number! She too is so grown up - 5 feet all, wears a size 8 in womens shoes! She loves that she isn't much shorter than me and keeps telling me "I'll be taller then you soon". My reality check commet to her - "You may be taller, but I can still take you!" (I have at least 80 lbs on her!)
