Okay, update on the "topic" issue. Talked with the principal and he had already spoken again with the teacher. The teacher thought our conversation was great and everything was worked out so the principal was a bit taken aback when I asked to speak with him. I told him that two people can have two totally different views on how a conversation went especially when they don't really know each other well. It was a positive meeting. The teacher did take my concerns and ideas very seriously and will be considering topics more closely. I guess I'm satisfied for the moment, but I'm keeping both eyes on this teacher and the assignments.

The principal then went into a long and very interesting discussion of the gifted programs at the middle school(daughter is in the very limited and somewhat disappointing at times programs and son will be there next year). I'm envisioning a call sometime in the future for my input and support on some programs he would like to introduce/improve.

I hope everyone had a great weekend. It was really nice around here. We didn't make Indy (no motor) so we used the time off to work on projects around here. We're heading out to Pennsylvania (via Indy) tomorrow for the Dutch. It's a brand new, untested motor (except for 30+ runs on the dyno) so it should be interesting!

Kebapcheta ( cyr. Кебапчета ) were introduced to Bulgaria by the Ottomans. The name derives from the Turkish word kebap. They are usually consumed with fried potatoes as garnish, beer or Rakia.

Ingredients:
1kg minced meat ( pork and veal )
2 onions
1/2 teaspoon cumin and pepper
salt

Salt the meat and let it stay for 1 or 2 hours in a fridge. Then mix it with cumin, pepper, finely chopped onions (and some water). Leave it in a fridge for two more hours. Form the meat into oblong rissoles and grill them

Palachinka or Palachinki ( plural, cyr. Палачинки ) are traditional Bulgarian pancakes. On second thought, they’re not much different than other pancakes, so it’s not really a traditional Bulgarian meal, but still quite popular.

Ingredients:

eggs ( the amount of eggs depends on how much are you planning to make )
half a cup of milk or water
third of a cup of flour

Mix the ingredients so that they form a thin batter. Heat small to medium-sized skillet or crepe-maker and add butter to coat the pan, about half a tablespoon. Add the batter to the pan until it fills it to about half a centimetre thickness. Cook until the top is no longer shiny and flip.

Bob chorba means beans soup ( cyr. боб чорба ). Bob stands for beans ( in Bulgarian ) and chorba comes from the Turkish word chorbasi, meaning soup. This is a simple, but still delicious recipe and the products needed are cheap, which is why it’s so popular in Bulgaria.

Ingredients:

1 1/2 cups dried bean
1 onion
2 tomatoes
2 carrots
1 small pepper
sunflower oil
savory
mint
salt

Chop the onion and clean the beans. Put the beans in a pressure-cooker and add about 2l of water. Cook until it boils. Put the oven on a low flame. When it boils, add the other ingredients and 4 spoons of sunflower oil. Cook the whole mixture for another 15 min. Simple, isn’t it?

Colorado is just as messed up. OUr next door neighbor has been waiting for 5 years for the rest of his family to move here legally from Scotland all the while the neighbors across the street are "fresh from the border" in a new house. I'm trying to figure how 10 people live in a house ment for a family of four.

I did get into a argument with our associate pastor over ESL classes. He wants our commision to pay for it and the chair and myself are furious he is asking us to take 20% of our streched budget for children's activites to cover the cost of somethign the school district is already offering and getting money for. We all voted NO and he spent $2000 anyway of our money for children parties.

My great grandfather came over from Bulgaria in hte early das of WW1. He worked hard and Great Grandma and Grandpa lost two children in their journey. They were accepted and made sure all 10 children were educated but never asked the government for help. All my Great Uncles served the nation. It makes me sick to see illegals claim their rights, they don't know nor understand what early immagrants went through.

Even though the Census Bureau estimates a 10-12 million illegal alien population, it is commonly known that many aliens avoid the census count. Other more reliable groups estimate nearly 20 million illegal aliens in the U.S. as of 2005

Our schools are overcrowded (15% less per classroom would be smaller class sizes), our prisons are over crowded (over 40% of inmates are illegals and spawn of illegals), we spend more $$$ on illegals than US citizens children (free ESL, Healthcare, tuition, food $$$-- This is what burns my butt ) plus school districts are by law prohibited from asking if children are illegal aliens. Anchor babies (children born in the US of illegal aliens) are counted as citizens for Title I and other Fed $$$$ to school formulas.

Legal immigrants deserve respect. Illegal aliens are law breakers who do not deserve jobs, amnesty, educational subsidies, driver's licenses, and other benefits at the expense of U.S. taxpayers. Illegal aliens first should be encouraged to Go Home voluntarily and then humanely deported as the law requires. (only because they wont let us hire border-bounty- hunting gaurds- $$$ per confirmed hunted, bagged and tagged illegal)

The United Nations Universal Declaration of Human Rights states in Article 13, line 2:

"Everyone has the right to leave any country, including his own, and to return to his country."

Article 13 does not provide the right for any global citizen to illegally enter any host nation they so choose. Yet human rights and morality advocates vociferously claim such a right, without justification as such a right is not provided in the widely accepted human rights declaration.
