CC-that is horrible news. I will pass the information to my prayer chain.

Shawn-I have a huge house and fence around a giant yard that all need someone who "wants" to decorate them. You and I both know Knights example should be followed by a few parents (including my own) when dealing with kids who don't listen. I remember some player being interviewed about why he put up with that treatment and even sought out Knight as a coach and he said because I need a firm hand to make me the best player. Disclaimer: I would never strangle my child but I would love to strangle my brother who got arrested for leading cops on car chase. I really can't believe we have nay genetic material in common. Did I mention he lead this chase by my house in hopes that I would see it and call my mom for him? When he gets out of jail, I think I might give ol' Bobby a call and see if he wants someone to let his anger out on.

Luv-it is so cool you get to have that time with your kids. It really does go too fast.

Finally, can anyone tell me why parents wait until 5 days after a fundraiser was due to turn it in? Seriously, some of us have lives and don't want to spend them making last minute trips to the school and recalculating numbers and fixing the turn in sheets before dashing to the UPS store before it closes because it took you 5 days to figure it out. AAAHHHHAAAHHHH!!!!! Did I mention we are having the family over for Thanksgiving at my house? I must be seriously insane. One of my friends is having surgery on Wednesday and I'm making all kinds of food for her to have on hand because she won't be able to cook or drive for several days. What's everyone else doing for the holiday?

The irony of commitment is that it’s deeply liberating-in work, in play, in love. The act frees you from the tyranny of your internal critic, from the fear that likes to dress itself up and parade around as rational hesitation. To commit is to remove your head as the barrier to your life. --Anne Morris

There's been a terrible tragedy in Hunstville, Alabama today. A vo-tech high school bus ran off a highway overpass. There are fatalities and injuries. Please pray for these injured kids and their families as they deal with the worst day of their lives. And as I'm sure you all do very often, hug your own kids and tell them how very much you love them!!!

d- I'll send ya a better sound card for Xmas ;)

I'm sooo ready for the holidays (just need to find someone that has a large house to put all our Xmas lights on- our condohas like 2 sq feet of available hanging space outside :( )

Playstation and such are such a waste of $$$ and time IMHO (did ya hear about the guy who got shot waiting in line for one of 'em- a bunch of thugs decided to rob the line waiting for the store to open)?

Parent Teacher conference today

Hopefully gonna go see Santa Clause 3 or something this long weekend- then watch ND thrash USC to climb back in the BSChampionship

Everyone send my buddy 'Coach Knight' at Texas Tech an Xmas card to tell everyone to buzz-off 'cuz he told his player to keep his chinup and not to worry about making mistakes (A man should be judged by the here and now.... not the fact that he threw a little old lady a chair during a game ('cuz she didnt have one), or tried to figure out if his player needed the hemlich or a traech (by grabbing his neck), or that his sons chair had a spider on it that need squished by his foot (by kicking it), or that a student should repsect his elder when addressing him or that him and I think the sports media are a bunch of morons getting paid to pretend to be knowlegable (and the media HATES us for it))

I am SO in the holiday spirit! I think part of it is that all the big projects I had going are now done or winding down to the end. I'm taking Wednesday off from work since the kids will be out of school, and we will be doing nothing but having FUN! I think we need a day like that. I wish hubby could get off work too and join us.

Hey Rocky, watch me pull a rabbit out of my hat.

Shawn, the resemblance is uncanny!

Ok, seriously folks. Does anyone really need a Playstation 3 or Nintendo Wii that bad? It's such a ridiculous and irresponsible game that the manufacturers of these game systems are playing. I wish consumers would take a stand and refuse to get sucked in by the hype!
