I'll take two boxes of thin mints, one samoa and one lemon. Mmmmmmm! :)

ScottMom - My sister stayed at my parents house alone one night and the noises scared her so much she called the police. She thought someone was trying to break in but it was just a garbage can lid. I've never thrown away wind chimes but I've had some neighbor's windchimes I'd like to have thrown away - along with their barking dogs!

I love this song!!! I've never been fishin in the dark - except early morning when FIL dragged us all out. But never at night.....

Nitty Gritty Dirt Band
Fishin' In The Dark

Lazy yeller moon coming up tonight
Shining through the trees
Crickets are singing
And the lightning bugs are floating on the breeze
Baby get ready

Cross the field where the creek turns back
By the old stun road
Im going to take you to a special place
That nobody knows
Baby get ready

Ooo ooo ooo

You and me going fishing in the dark
Lying on our backs and counting the stars
Where the cool grass grows

Down by river in the full moon light
We’ll be falling in love in the middle of the night
Just moving slow

Staying the whole night through
Feels so good to be with you

Spring is almost over and the summer comin
The days are getting long
Waited all winter for the time to be right
Just to take you along
Baby get ready

And it don’t matter if we sit forever
And the fish don’t bite
Jump in the river and cool ourselves
from the heat of the night
Baby get ready

Ooo ooo ooo

You and me going fishin in the dark
Lying on our backs and counting the stars
Where the cool grass grows

Down by the river in the full moon light
We’ll be falling in love in the middle of the night
Just moving slow
Staying the whole night through
Feels so good to be with you
And me going fishing in the dark
Lying on our backs and counting the stars
Where the cool grass grows

Down by the river in the full moon light
We’ll be falling in love in the middle of the night
Just moving slow

Silver--LOL about the windchime! I love the old house sounds--my kids on the other hand hate it--I can always tell when someone is up because the floor squeaks in certain spots and they get busted LOL!! I mean who needs to get up and get roughly 25 drinks of water before they fall asleep LOL!!
And its official--GIRL SCOUT COOKIE TIME LOL!!
My daughter has been selling for almost a week and we are at the stage when people are calling all evening to order from her--so and so told them she came by and they ordered from her and they were wondering why she hasn't made it to their house yet--we didn't plan to sell big this year(this will be her last year-- she feels like she is too old for girl scouts) but I told her at this rate she will go out with a bang!
mmmmm.....I can taste the samoas and tagalongs now LOL!!

Hey, I resemble that remark... ;) Good One!!!

Hubby and I were very American during the address. We sat on the sofa, bellies out, feet up and a giant bag of M&Ms between us.

I'm starting to worry about dlf. It isn't like her to go a whole week without posting, especially with so much fun new stuff to play with. I hope everything is aOK.

Shawn, I miss your old habit of posting lyrics. Do you have anything to throw at us tonight?

If you can't be a good example then you'll just have to be a horrible warning.

Guess you could applie it to parents as well as politicians!

Arms, legs, abs are all going crazy over here. To top it off, I had my big aerobic style workout today to "sweat like crazy" for an hour and realized about half way through that my cold has turned into an ear infection so I kept getting off balance. I should have recorded it, it was so funny. I called the doctor for an appointment before I got in the car. The nice thing about excercising is that once I get moving I don't tend to stop so I've gotten quite a bit done around the house.
We haven't lived her very long and I'm still getting used to the sounds this old house makes. Last night I couldn't get to sleep because I kept hearing thumping and clanking and I couldn't figure out where it was coming from. So today I think I got it down, the thumping was the dog chosing to get on the porch to check my window and his tail kept thumping against stuff and the clanking was some sort of old windchime that's metal beating against the side of the house. So the dog was told to sleep in his dog house or he was getting a run pen to be locked in at night and the windchime found a new home in the trash can. Don't mess with my sleep or you will pay! :)
My biggest peeve about presidential addresses is that is messes up my tv show recordings. Can't politicans respect that we want to be American and watch tv!?!

The irony of commitment is that it’s deeply liberating-in work, in play, in love. The act frees you from the tyranny of your internal critic, from the fear that likes to dress itself up and parade around as rational hesitation. To commit is to remove your head as the barrier to your life. --Anne Morris
