Oh, yeah... Denzel is so beautiful. I bought his book, A Hand to Guide Me, but haven't had a chance to read it yet. I thought Deja Vu was a good movie but the critics raked it over the coals. It wasn't Oscar worthy or anything but it was a pleasant 2 hour break from the real world.

Hey, ScottMom, I thought of you this morning. I went to Lowe's and they had pots of hyacinths in full bloom. The scent was amazing. You should get some of those to cheer you up. Or drop some major hints with hubby for Valentine's Day. I didn't pick any up because they were too far gone. I like to buy them just before the buds open so they last longer. But I stood there for awhile just breathing it all in!

Off to town to get the invitations finished up for my mom and stepdads 25th wedding anniversary party. Oh and have to finish getting all the valentines goodies for the school LOL!! Only have to bake about 100 valentine cupcakes this week LOL!!

That is a funny movie. I've seen it once but it was Christmas and crazy in the room so I'll get it again to watch the parts I missed.

IRS day today. I have to learn a few things for the business, how to pay sales tax (by Feb 20!), employment tax/ss, fun stuff like that. Then I get to gather up all of my personal tax stuff and send it out to the accountant. I'd better get a double mocha latte after the gym so I'm charged and ready!!!

Shawn - going to Indy this weekend to drop the "Cuda with the chassis guy. I'll let you know just how cold it is there after we get back. I think it'll be chili mac 5-way at Steak N Shake kind of weather. Brrrrrr

Shawn-The book was sooo much better than the movie. Speaking of books, I'm reading the latest Iris Johansen and having lots of trouble putting it down. Her books are wonderful and should be made into movies because they read like one. I'm getting ready to watch my recorded version of Lost, it's so much better without commercials. We've got to get up early for conferences. I hate them, one teacher tells me how wonderful my son is and asks me if she can do anything more and the other teacher tells me how much trouble she has with my other son and refuses to accept some responsiblity for him being bored and restless. The joys of parenting.

The irony of commitment is that it’s deeply liberating-in work, in play, in love. The act frees you from the tyranny of your internal critic, from the fear that likes to dress itself up and parade around as rational hesitation. To commit is to remove your head as the barrier to your life. --Anne Morris

Sounds like you need to go to Vegas with d and her girlfriends! Until then, here's a gin & tonic for you too. Lime? Olives? You name it, you got it.

I didn't think the gray, dreary (but blessedly not too cold) weather was getting me down. But yesterday the sun came out, it got up to 55 degrees and I went nuts. I opened all the shades, cleaned the house, turned CMT way up on the tv. I felt revitalized. Today I was out in the driveway patching together some carpet remnants for a rug and it was soooooo great to be outside!

Next time you're at the store, buy some potted hyacinth and crocus bulbs. They'll bloom in no time and send a soothing aroma through your house - and some lively color too!
