Pie for breakfast is perfectly suitable in my opinion. It's better than a jelly donut or a Pop Tart. It's fruit wrapped in a crust(which counts as a bread)!

You can justify ANYTHING if you just think about it a little bit.

We don't have dog problems, we have cat problems. The next door neighbors let their cats out every morning and I've caught their female 3 times now squatting down in my strawberry bed. So far we've caught her before she's done her business, but one more time and I'm going to have a little talk with them. I mean this is food I'm growing for my family! I usually give them some too! Last year the neighbor on the other side told them if he caught their cat in his garden again, he was going to "take care of it", so it's not like they don't know what the cat is up to.

Hey Rocky, watch me pull a rabbit out of my hat.

OUCH SCOTT---sorry to hear about the flower beds. We have had many dogs but I believe I am having the most fun with my little chihuahua--he rides around in the hood of my sweatshirt( hoodie). He fits right in--I have even taken him into Walmart in the hoodie hat--if he lays down you can't even tell he is in there LOL!! And my hubby thinks I am crazy but I love to dress him up LOL!! I want to get a girl chi so I can get girlie clothes LOL---I just went and had his t-shirt made with my sons ball team name on it--we did it last year and everyone loved it LOL!! I know my hubby may be right --I am alittle crazy LOL!! I use to put one of the kids sweatshirts on our bull dog when it was cold out--i would cut ear holes in the hat for him--but he would only wear it for alittle while and he would get it off LOL!! Love my big dogs too(boxer and english bulldog, and black lab) but they are more for the kids--they love to play with the kids outside--my chihuahua goes around the house once and needs to rest LOL!!

Did someone say PIE??? I love pie or cake for breakfast! I know I sound like a kooky mother but my kids love birthdays because they get woke up with a cake for breakfast. It seems like, with our huge family, the kids never get to celebrate their birthdays on the actual day and I love to wake them up and have a few quiet minutes with them talking about the day they were born. My mom still calls me throughout the day on my birthday to tell me what she was doing at that time the day I was born. It's really kind of cute.
D-It's nice to know you are human because you were making me wonder! :)
Cotton-we have so much trouble with events in the spring that we only hold things that require minimum volunteers or high school kids doing civic duty requirements. I really hope your event goes well. We are doing a Bingo, BBQ & Books in April and only have barely enough people to keep it going but we planned it to need very few, too.
CC-I don't work out, but I do sling around a 40+ pound 3 year old several times a day.
As part of our house needing a bunch of renovations, the yard needs a ton of work, too. We have flower beds that are part of the foundation around 2/3 of the house. I spent 5 hours last week cleaning up one side of the beds and planting flowers in them, and, as of today, my dogs have offically ruined all my work. One dog decided that I had made a bed for him and no matter what we do, he lays on the flowers, the other dog decided to dig two huge holes in the ground (as well as taking out the flowers planted there). I told my husband we are getting a pen for them, it's bad enough I have to do all the work to make the yard look suitable, but I'm not going to do it to have it look worse than it did when I started! To make it all worse, I didn't want outside dogs-I wanted a little lap dog for the house that wouldn't ruin the yard and that I could carry around in my purse. How do we get talked into these things???

The irony of commitment is that it’s deeply liberating-in work, in play, in love. The act frees you from the tyranny of your internal critic, from the fear that likes to dress itself up and parade around as rational hesitation. To commit is to remove your head as the barrier to your life. --Anne Morris

oooo, finally..... proof that you're only human like the rest of us. I was beginning to think that maybe you were sporting a big red D on your chest. ;)

I know you feel awful. But, hey, maybe you'll smile instead of cringe next time you overhear something negative about you/your team, knowing that they might just be having a bad day.

Cardio, weights and coaching six year olds?!?! Will you be my new trainer?
