Farmer Mom,

I have been reading through all the posts and see that you are "intensly" into the food issues.(somehow I think your screen name gives it away a bit) And you know what, that is ok. I think, though, you need to lighten up on "food" fundraisers. Yes, maybe and most certainly all cookies are fattening but do you really think you will do ok with a vegtable fundraiser?

Heck we do cookie dough and PIZZA?!?

Hi Mistie,
Check out the ingredients and nutrition composition of these products before considering using them for fundraising. You will find this info difficult to get, as these companies say they don't have to provide nutrition info because their product is considered a gift in return for donations. Since they are not selling retail, they are allowed that loophole (I guess).
I persevered, and finally the info and found that this "cookie dough" makes about the most unhealthy cookies available. They are full of fat, lots of it saturated and transfat. Very high calorie garbage! The parents club has been selling it for years at my son's school, all the kids are blimping up quickly there.
The US Surgeon General, the US Center for Disease Control and Prevention, and the USDA all say to: Discourage the promotion and advertisement of unhealthy food to children".
But, what do they know? If raising funds is more important to you than the health of your children and community, cookie dough is the way to go!

We do a pie & cookie dough fundraiser through Ashley Farms that has been well received over the last 3 years. They deliver with the student's name and teacher's name on the box(es). We just sort the boxes by teacher so that distribution becomes easier.

Hey Mistie we have used Savory Cookie Dough in previous fundraisers with great success! It is cookie dough sold in 3# tubs and can be frozen or refrigerated with lots of flavors to choose from. Here's the web site address.

I think we're going to do a cookie dough fundraiser. The question is, Which one? Little Ceasars is so much to ask someone to pay...Grandma Corbi's (Joe Corbi's) is exteremly forthcoming with info...EZfund.com seems a little overly pushy...Can't seem to get info. only on cookie dough from gourmetfundraising.com. & Kids Choice USA. But all seem like good products. Only have gotten samples from EZfund.

Anyone know anything about these companies and have any opinions they could offer me?? We're a private church school, 147 kids 18 months-K this year (adding grades next year).
