PTO Today seems to be bias against PTA?

Tim- your e-mail address isn't working. A good story for the blog...

No you cannot call your group WWF- The World Wildlife Federation has a temper! ;)
Don't be opposed though, to getting even more information, not only from the PTA site but also NCPIE, the NEA and so many more. This is just one resource and there is a wealth of information out there.
I knew backhoed could help bring it down a bit (our resident peacemaker?)
It doesn't cost a thing to register your name though and just because you register, doesn't mean that you have to post either. I generally don't get any spam from this site (the occasional solicitor but I promptly reprimand them for it!)
I used to debate with Blue67 (where are you anyway!?!) but she's been MIA lately.
Anyhow, I've been missing all the other stuff like the baked potato bar and other involvement goodies! Let's put this topic to rest for a while shall we??

...and if the group does not cut 'n run - I will be there to give them some "spirited debate"

As I sit here grinning to myself - I too love a good spirited debate. I do not think any less of ANYONE because of it. While what I said I believe, it does not cause me to think less of Michelle B or anyone for that matter.

I am a father of a spirited Kindergardner (just like his ole dad) and My wife is a teacher in the same school. The current PTO is believed to be getting ready to cut 'n run at the beginning of the year. I am ready for that - because of this site (ptotoday.com), I have downloaded several groups By-Laws and other information that would help set the group up right (this group is not incorporated or 501(c)(3)). I have also aquired a web address and hosting space (Michelle B can I call my group WWF? - just joking!) and have a shell of a site already setup and ready to fill with information in english and spanish.

ptotoday.com has been a wealth of information in preparing for the possible revamping of this troubled group and I thank everyone for their thoughts, suggestions and ideas - even though you did not know I was out there lurking!

Hey someone ate all the popcorn!

Now thats a nice! Everyone is settling down.... Aha!!...Hey lurking (love that name!) is a dad,father,man,grandfather....something like that.

Welcome to the boards! Yes there is a ton of great information and ideas on these boards! Everyone here brings something good to the table, whether it is a new idea or something tried and true....So much... Heck, I never even heard of a boo hoo breakfast before. I have gotten so much from this site in the past years from all, PTO'ers, PTA'ers, HSA'ers (thats me!)... I do believe this topic is evolving......

Tally ho all! Martini time now. Anyone? :D

Hey Lurking!!! The PTO from HELL you say, you should have started in my school!!! The principal was the one fired for stealing from PTO!!! Parents wanted NOTHING to do with PTO or volunteering for a long time!!! Anyway, Don't wait to see if the PTO at your school changes, get your butt in there and make it change!!! I was nothing the first year our school started back with PTO and I ended up writing bylaws, making pamplets, running fundraisers, etc.... If I hadn't pushed as hard as I did as a nobody, our school still might not have a PTO. Just do it!!! :D :D :D
