On the lighter side: How many times a day or week do you read this discussion forum?

Ask anyone... I tend to voice views differently than most, sometimes even differently than how my own view is...lol... I think that playing 'devils advocate' is sometimes a lot of fun! I think that diversity is good, even when it gets a little heated. I hate it when a difference of view turns nasty though.

Anyway, wasn't this a great thread? I have truly enjoyed it.

I have to agree with Tim that it's not a big clique', it is a clique but a welcoming one. I felt when I was a new poster (last year) that I was welcomed. I did, however, feel that alot of people felt the same way and responded the same way to posts--almost as a group suppporting each other instead of answering the questions and looking at them from all points of view. I think if you read back--you'll know exactly what I'm talking about.

No grudges--great people. Great advice--super ideas. I love this place. I come her several times per week. I have to agree--it's a nice little group to share information with and to just talk about how you feel about ideas, proposals, things you may be afraid to bring up in a group setting without getting some insight from those experienced PTO/PTA'ers. I enjoy a little of all of it.

Not a bad combination if you ask me.

I understand that feeling. I hate looking on the main forum page and seeing my name over and over. It's great when lots of people chime in.

I think I could stand to lurk for only about a week and then dove in. It was just too inviting.

I TRY to keep the wit sharp--let's face it, these days that's about all I have going for me! :D

I agree--the "family" here is one I rather like (in fact, better than my in-laws! ;) ). Sure it's nice to see postings from people you "know"--like MetzyMom, MichelleB, Momski and nonsequitur, but seeing "new" faces become familiar is nice too! In fact, I remember when nonsequitur was "new," and that wasn't too long ago, and now I don't know what I'd do without all her helpful hints!

As a newbie I don't feel as though this is a clique, it feels more a a family(warped, but still a family!)

I love the way people answer your questions openly & honestly! If you don't agree with someone they don't hold it against you like they do on other boards. No back stabbing here.

As always KMA, you tickle me silly with your witt!

Gosh, I took the boys to the park and holy posting batman!

My husband found this site for me four or five years ago and I'm hooked. He often teases me and regrets showing me it!

As far as personal goes, I think the most personal I became here is when my daughter was born (remember that? ;) ) I was President that year, pregnant with baby #5, 9/11 had happened, school moved to a new building and my dear sister got married! What a roller coster but I knew I could come hear and "get away" for awhile. I really think this forum helped me see I wasn't alone during a time when I felt very alone. (Thank you Tim!! This is much cheaper than therapy!)

We also have DSL so the puter (love that Menzy!) is always on! I have my days though how often I can come here, with five it's often I have to play the "Mommy card!" In all honesty, it's often the only way I get to just sit for a few!
