I received my Stampin Up gift box in two weeks. It is a great prize!
I have received some local giftcards, but most places are just not giving- even after follow up calls. I keep getting the same reason, that the economy is tough shape. I understand this. I have reached out to parents throughout the school for donations. I will make prize baskets, but they will be smaller than in past years. I do have some nice prizes, but not nearly what I was expecting to receive. I have chaired this annual event for several years now. This is my last one. I think we need to find other fundraising ideas for the future. I hope that everyone here is faring well on their search for donations.
Mary, we had a long check out line last year as well. Not as bad as yours sounded though! You need the items to bring in the money, but yes it is best to have enough help to speed up the check out process. Oddly, we had several parents volunteer to assist during our event and they say they were told they weren't needed. Yikes. What is our chair thinking?? I was like "are you kidding"??
I've tried to located in this massive and awesome thread the info about the Disney Hopper Passes. Anyone know how to apply to get those? We've got two tickets from Jet Blue and would love to do a Disney theme package for our Casino Night on April 28th.
