I guess everyone has their own priorities in life. It just would have been nice if he had taken a poll of the parents instead of just making the decision on his own. Oh well, I knew he was a jerk so I don't know why I was so surprised.

Now I just have to pray for nice weather so all the outside activities I have planned for the Family Night don't have to come indoors! I may hit up teachers for board games to be used in case of rain.

Hey Rocky, watch me pull a rabbit out of my hat.

My oldest is moving to middle school next year. I still have one that has two more years at elementary, but it started me thinking about what I'll do after that. They tend to not use parents much at the middle school. I have developed some really wonderful friendships with some of the teachers and the principal at the elementary school so I'm thinking I'll probably keep volunteering in classrooms even after my kids have moved on. They can always use people to read with kids! If they don't need me at my kids' former school, I'll be I can find a school in the district that does.

Maybe it will be time to run for school board!!!!

On darker note, I felt like slapping one of my son's baseball coaches last night. We finally had a Friday without a game and it had turned out to be such good fortune because it was the same Friday our group had picked for our end of year Family Night. I've been working my tail off putting this together. So last night we're warming up for the game and one of the assistants says something about getting a practice in Friday. Another mom says "Oh, but that's Family Night at the school!" So he says that's more important and we'll live without a practice. Then our game gets rained out. We were playing out of the league so those games don't get made up(supposedly). Well the head coach from our team makes a deal with the other team's coach to play on Friday night. He never asked any of the parents if it would work, just told us to be there!!! I told him we wouldn't be at the game because we had a school event. He says "Well, if Nick would rather play I can take him." I said, "It's a FAMILY night." He just didn't get it. I suppose I'll give my son the choice and let his dad take him if he wants to play ball. So far he's saying Family Night because he has been helping me with the preparations and is excited about it, but we'll see. UGH!!!

closetwriter, did I miss something? Are you moving, different districts being drawn, or just a new school opening up in your area?

Just remember that you have experience from all your involvement and I'm sure that everyone will adjust OK.

We catch According to Jim every once in awhile, it's pretty good. I used to enjoy Will and Grace, but I don't see it very often now and it just isn't as funny as it used to be. Maybe I should just start reading all the Captain Underpants books instead of watching TV!!

Oh well, next school year looks like I'll be co-Prez so I probably won't have any TV time anymore!!

You know it's way too nice here today to be stuck inside working. Should I fake a sudden illness? I think I have a huge case of mental repetitive stress syndrome. You know...I'm sick of doing the same boring work over and over.

Thanks for the missing pieces!! I would have hated to wait til reruns to find out- I hate missing parts like that and "Sunshine" was an important part. And after reading your post I can see where it was business as usual in the house for them. They came in quietly and left the same way-taking a piece of us with them. LOL
I did watch Inside Edition who interviewed the stars- "Robert" said he is in talks about a spinoff or something else, and "Debra" has a new show lined up on ABC I think it is. They are both wonderful to watch so maybe they will give us a few laughs.
I do watch Joey sometimes- its good for a laugh or two, and oh what about George Lopez and According to Jim?

The missing pieces
Marie had to go to the bathroom. I loved how she kept checking Robert's veins to make sure they were showing!

Amy said when they were heading home "You are the Sunshine of My Life" came on the radio and Robert had to pull over. He claimed he thought he had hit a cat.

I think the end just showed that everything was still the same except for maybe a little change in them because of the realization of what life would be like if Ray wasn't there.

I caught some of the previous hour of bloopers and the cast and crew talking about each other. It was funny-some of the Frank and Marie things were actual events from the writers' life experiences with their parents!!! You know I think that show was where my daughter learned to call her brother an idiot(like Debra always did Ray)! Where will we get our laughs now?
