I finally bundled up the troop and sent them out for about twenty minutes. Who knew that was all it took! Our golden retriver had a blast with the four kids (no way the teenager was going out!) and got some great time with her "puppies".

Just hoping they find something differnet to do than tag...yes, inside!!

Snow, Snow go away...... I'm so sick of shovelling it away. Kids are on a 4 day break (Fri-Mon) & it's been blizzard conditions, not to mention the wind chills. Too cold for the kids to be outside. My poor basset just sinks in all the snow but I think he enjoys it. Weird dog! I'm ready for summer & strawberry daquiris.

CHOCOLATE CAKE !!!!!, DAD is GREAT.. He lets us eat... (Bill Cosby tune)

2 c. cake flour
2 c. sugar
2 sticks butter
3 tbsp. cocoa
1 c. Coca Cola
2 eggs, beaten
1/2 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. soda
1 1/2 c. miniature marshmallows
1 tsp. vanilla

Combine cake flour and sugar. Heat butter, cocoa, and Coca Cola to a boil. Combine buttermilk, soda, marshmallows, and vanilla. Pour boiling Coke mixture over flour and sugar. Mix thoroughly. Add to eggs/buttermilk mixture and beat well. Bake in greased (9X13) flat cake pan at 350 degrees for 30 to 35 minutes.

COLA FROSTING:

1 stick butter
3 tbsp. cocoa
6 tbsp. Coca Cola
1 lb. confectioners' sugar
1 c. chopped nuts
1 tsp. vanilla

Combine butter, cocoa, and Coca Cola and boil. Pour above boiled mixture over confectioners' sugar. Add chopped nuts, vanilla, and blend thoroughly. Spread over warm cake.

This recipe for Coca Cola Cake serves/makes 12.

Does anyone have a recipe for coca-cola cake? When I'm stressed I craaaave chocolate but I want to try something different. Holler if you do.
