Okay...I'm kidda bummed....I wanted to have the 1000th post.... :(
oh well, i can live with 1001 and that is more than I ever thought we would see!

I started this as a place to just chat and have thanked Tim so many times, thank you Tim!!

I am a Iowa farm girl now living in the burbs of Denver. Miss Iowa but we do visit, not sure about this summer but see what happens.

My name came from a radio show. Dr. Laura talked about how she is her son's mom and once my second and third children came along I decided that's what I wanted to be. SO I quit my job when we moved and five children later here I am! I was litterly born July '69 so I love to say "Loved the 60's because I don't remember a thing!"

May is crazy. Can't wait till June-

Hi Renee! Thanks for the warm welcome!!

It's Monday so I'm having a tall vanilla latte, skim, double shot.

Hey, I'm one of those soccer/hockey moms that are totally lost about vehicles. But I can check my oil. Welcome to the 'chat room'. Pull up a chair & have a drink with us.

 Hi 11s in street! Gotta love those 440s!! I'm impressed. I'd hang on to that car if I were you. Mopars, especially late 60s/early 70s, are making a big comeback.

I'm glad you're here, m2. There aren't a lot of girls like us in the PTO ranks. We aren't all soccer moms (not that there's anything wrong with that ;) )

Crew chief, oh my gosh!!! thank goodness for another mopar family!! our road runner has a 440 in it. he was running high 11's his last run. the girls want the car when they're old enough to drive which is eighteen. we live in pa and their changing the driving age in about two years. we would like to buy a cuda, but can't right now. our dream is to give a car to each girl, then have them pull up at a stop light and blow the doors off some guys, (no offense.) we almost sold the car about 3 years ago, we both chickened out too!!! it's just somthing about those mopars!!!

m2gymmom, we have a 73 Road Runner that we run in IHRA's super stock and, just this year, built a 68 hemi Barracuda for the ss/ah class in NHRA. It's a blast! We had a 73 barracuda that my husband and I used to go on dates in back in high school. We just sold it this spring. I'm almost embarrased to say that I cried when the guy towed it out of the driveway but 25 years is a long time to hold on to something! Our son loves racing too and we have a great time together as a team. He's 12 and hopes that by the time he's 16 I'll be tired of my Charger and will give it to him to race in the high school class at IRP. I hope you and your husband find a way back into racing. I can't imagine not going to the track!

Shawn, I hope there is money in the 1000th post. I have another hemi on the way and seriously need the cash! And it's getting funny how much we have in common!! I'm the oldest by 2 minutes and I've tortured my brother with it for most of our 40 years together.

Oh, and we never made it to the basement today. My husband noticed that I've been stressed (i.e. yelling a lot) lately so we took the day off and went to a movie.
