No, it wouldn't be his wife-she's a sweet, adorable woman(obviously a bit dense tho). Plus, his child is grown and his eyes glaze over any time someone ask about my kids when he's around. Everyone else around here ASKS about my kids and love to hear what they are up to. Some have even come to events and/or keep up with anything that they see in the paper about their activities.
Speaking of him-he accused me of changing travel arrangements for some visitors the other day. I told him I had done no such thing and forwarded him the e-mail to prove it. No apology, just an "oh".
Okay, I'm thinking evil thoughts now. I need to do some deep breathing and count to 10. I know, I'll go do some baking-that always calms me down!
mykids - is this lady the wife of LUV's coworker?!?!?! Some parents are so amazingly annoying. Don't you wish that for just one second they could see their kids the same way everyone else does? And who blames the other mom and calls the police because their kid didn't come straight home after school? If my son has a friend over I ask, "Does your mom know you're here?" If he says yes then I assume his mom knows he's here.
Oh well, the consolation is that you're the big cheese and can make sure she gets picked last for room mom and volunteer projects, doesn't get notices home for important things like the halloween party or fundraising info. Lord knows we all work the "power" that our very prestigous PTO titles hold by gatekeeping against all the parents we don't like. Oh if only it were true..... Instead she'll work hard at alienating herself by doing and saying all of the wrong things and then blame you for her being on the outside looking in!

ooohhh gotta share this before I go to bed.
My 15 year old daughter is 5'8" 180. My Beautiful Big Girl. On the first day of school, the kids were riding the bus home and this little 10 year old would not leave "Kar" alone. "I dare you to hit me-Com'on, chicken? I dare ya" on and on for the majority of the ride. SO Kar's hand hits this boy on the arm. Not even hard enough to leave a mark or have him yell OUCH.
As the kids are getting off the bus, Kar starts walking home as I'm getting the "scoop" fromthe boys when another boy is telling the 10year olds Mom all about how Kar hit her son and how she was mean blah blah blah. The 10 year old is laughing and I call to Kar to get her side and to resovle the issue. The kid lied through his dental work (new braces) and the mom then turns to me and yells at me! This is all after Kar even apologizes! ---it gets better! The mom leaves mad and cursing my name and leting me know she could care less my status at the school and that I'm on the PTO etc. So the next morning I got called into the Director's office to talk aobut the phone call he got that night! Never mentioned the insident on the bus but she made it sound as if I was bragging about bein'n the board and I can do this and that. He said it was hard not to laugh because he didn't think that even sounded like me!
Okay, so this same mom struck again last night with another parent! Their boys are good friends and one decided to get off the bus with the other. He called home to leave a message at 4 but by 7 no one had heard from him. His mom finally got ahold of this mom and asked for her to bring her son home. the "bad mom" then turns this all on theother mom and questions her parenting skills etc. Well, to her surprise, the police came to her home to bring the boy back home!
We've only had one week of school with this family. Big count day is October first. I joke with everyone the second we'll have their walking papers ready!
