Boxes are still around but mostly it's just 'stuff'. Some of them have inventory stickers from three moves now. So, I know it's stuff we want to keep (memorabelia or some such stuff) but nothing we need on a regular basis.

We went on our first Alabama hike today. It was a beautiful trail but it was so crazy hot! I'm smack in the middle of a summer cold so my endurance isn't what it usually is. And I forget that hiking in mountains is a lot harder than hiking in good ol' flat Illinois. At least we didn't see any snakes!

We went to the track this weekend, too. I wasn't driving but we got to see Ashley Force. I'm not sure why I pay to go to events with my children, I always seem to miss the best action. Then we came home to watch the Bristol race-I've seen better.
I have to get up early tomorrow to sign my kids up for religous ed classes that are costing about 3 times  this year what they did last. At this rate, I could have just paid the tuition for the private school and not have to give up 2 hours every week.
I also have a headache that isn't going away. I think it's weather related because I've had it for about a week.
Crew, how's the unpacking going? I got through most of the living room yesterday but still can't find stuff, so there must be more boxes hiding somewhere! We moved when I was 9 and wound up not finding a couple of boxes for 4 years. After the first month, we just gave up. Though I can't really give up on PTO stuff. Oh well.

The irony of commitment is that it’s deeply liberating-in work, in play, in love. The act frees you from the tyranny of your internal critic, from the fear that likes to dress itself up and parade around as rational hesitation. To commit is to remove your head as the barrier to your life. --Anne Morris

d - great to hear from you! Remember, slow and steady wins the race.....

Yummy recipes Shawn. Thanks for sharing!!!

Hmmmm migranes.... My best cure is complete sensory deprivation - eye mask, noise cancelling headphones, dark quiet room. But in the real world - double shot mocha from the Mountain Mudd shack.

aOK - where've you been hiding? If you keep popping in only when dlf does we conspiracy theorists will start to think you're the same person - two sides of the same coin!

F*%(^@#( Beech Bend. I hate that track. Didn't even make first round thanks to a busted rocker arm adjuster. And I'm two seconds away from hanging up my crew chief hat if hubby doesn't do some serious groveling tonight. It wasn't fun for me either but I didn't yell at anyone - in front of everyone - for something completely out of anyone's control..... sheesh..........

The Brats or my 'Famous within about 50 houses Spaghetti Sauce'? (The brats require 2 or 3 coldbeer to cook in -- might try it in my spaghetti sauce, Hmmmmm)

?Yup-- Migraines -- Imitrex (and 2 Excedrine Migrain) but it doesnt work fast enough (I need to invent an ice head piece (cold ice packs surrounding the head -- works pretty good, at first)

Coldbeer but frosted in the bottle, unless its out of a can (Frosted mugg is a must) (dont know how many restaurants out here freak when I leave the frosted mug on the table -- "Is the mugg dirty?" "No, just dont need one" ;) (Another of my idiotcyncrasies as my loving wife says)

Oysters (Aphrodisiac my @#%) Sorry, YUCK YUCK did I mention YUCK!!!! I'd rahter eat liver and Onions ;) (Love other seafood)

Shawn, that dish should get rid of your migraines in a jiffy, have yuo tried that as Rx? (didnt you recently complain about migraine, i think) unless of course you douse it with LOTS of COLDBEER which sounds like is an integral part of that recipe (as side dish of course) and alcohol can trigger migraines...
you could also throw in some oysters, at least you couldnt taste them then, thats the only way any one eats them anyway, with lots of sauce to hide the slithery nothingness. but eveyone loves to eat em with coldbeer on the side. of course, the trick is, to first FREEZE the beer glass. a must.
