oh i should have specified, what gives me a no vote of confidence is when our administrtators that DO have school age kids, send them to private school and not the public system which they tehmselves are running.....hmmm.

Roof6pack - ref "What are my rights? " you have the right to not support the BOE members who supported the policy, come next election time.

other than that, its grass roots , getting parents to come to boe meetings and voice their opinion, and try to get changes made to the policy.

of course, they were supposed to have invited parents to the committee and meetings BEFORE they passed the policy last school yr, and if htey didnt do that, their sodas are probably not even in brown bags, eg they tehmselves dont have to abide by the policy, just teh school and kids do. LOL.

i always thought it would be nice if our administrators HAD to have kids at the school, ie a vested interest, kind of like certain govt officials have to live in the district in order to work there. oh well. time to sprinkle some more powedered sugar on my donut.

about the head lice thing... one time one of my kids got it from school- I freaked. we did 33 loads of laundry because we had to change 6 beds with the comforters, winter coats, and any and all clothing they came near. It was a nightmare!
I'm itchy just remembering it!

Looks like you're all caught up now Shawn! d briefly mentioned the CT scan on page 48. Wow, she's a trooper.

T - My home is Illinois. Hubby's family and mine and mainly located there, except for some in Indy and Wisconsin. We move a lot due to hubby's job. This time to Northeast Alabama - south of Hunstville. (Roll Tide!) I think I'm picking Alabama mostly because of their colors. Just in time too. I get the new truck plates next week and have to put some kind of bracket around it. ;) Next will come the decals, t-shirts, flag on the front of the house. Gosh I hope I'm only kidding.....

Oh boy, my son is breaking the formerly successful morning routine. Now that it's a little dark and chilly when he wakes up he's decided to start the shower and then lay back down until it "warms up". I listenedd to the water run for 20 minutes yesterday before I caught on. I don't blame him. 6:30am is killing me too!

Ok, I'm going rant about PC's & Mac for a moment - please bear with me!

Why, in this day and age, can't someone who is writing a program make it compatible with a Mac? Its not like Macs are new machines for heavens sake! I'm at my wits end with my math class and the prof wanting to do progams via the internet. But guess what - you got it! I can't run the $(*#* thing because it wont/doesnt support a Mac and according to the plug in site - NEVER WILL!!!!!!!

I need chocolate and caffine right now!

UNfortunatley its because all of us IBMers are spoiled and lazy ;)

Havent used a Mac regularly since they were Apple IIc's- and I have a G4 now (I turn it on about 3 times a month- for movie editing)

I think we just dont think about it or dont know enough too (I have request all the time to make the old school website MAC friendly- quite frankly I dont know how?)

Dont know if I'm too stubborn (I learned linux and have a ripping linux box) or too biased (dont know 'cuz I hate MicroSoft)

I'm surprised an institution of higher learning doesnt have MAC and IBM compatable though!!!

CC pool ready yet? I'm almost...

Did I miss the post about d having a CT scan somewhere? It will go well, I know!!

ScottM and Roof- how are ya? busy it sounds...
Kansas Sat nite (Who get where first -if Shawn leaves LA at 2pm going 85 and the Nebraska fans leave at 3pm for USC on Sunday driving at....)

OK did I miss anyone else? 'cuz I know I did... sorry :(

They sang 'Happy BDay' to wife at restaurant tonite (Kids asked- after she jokingly disparaged me for not doing anything on her BDay besides dinner- didnt tell 'em I burnt cake not made a bunt cake ;) )

Coldbeer for me and pina coladas coming up....
