d - I'm so glad you responded to writermom about the carnival/volunteer issue. I was sort of thinking along the same lines but couldn't state it nearly as eloquently as you. You have such a way with words!

OK, Shawn, we're even now. I guess that was payback for the memory stick/kool-aid incident. I can't fire the engine guy. He was just doing what hubby told him to do - push it as hard as you can on the dyno so we know where the limit is. The theory, it's better to blow up on the dyno than in the car while it's going down the track. Yeah, rrrriiiiigghhhht. That's a very expensive R&D program. A Ford? Maybe. We're in the abc (anything but chevy) club.

T - Little sisters everywhere, me being one of them, have taken their turn (pun intended) in the dryer. It really isn't that funny. Unless you're the big sister. Then, apparently, it's hysterical.

Oh, and according to my sil - we're still racing this weekend. I get all of my info from her. It goes from hubby to bil to sil to me. At least I'm somewhere in the loop!

Funniest thing with my younger sister? It's a tie: the time I put her in the dryer (yes, clothes dryer) and turned it on! We had a really old one that if you pressed the tab, it would turn on with the door open. It only went around once or twice...... :eek:

Second: I gave her a good old fashioned swirly If you've never done it - I highly reccomened it! It's so d@#n hysterical!

Albuteral stock up (we keep tons on hand) - hot showers with the vapor pack (ya just toss in water) works wonders for allergies and bad breathing (me and kids) and asthma (wife)

HS loved it- not popular as above post but friends with all (especially the pretty ones)

When I was 16 and my sister was 17 she actually jumped out of my car one night - while I was driving on an overpass - late at night - in the middle of nowhere. She said she thought she saw sparks coming from under the hood and was afraid the car would explode. Really, who has ever seen a car actually explode? Turns out the battery tray was a little loose and the terminal was bumping against the frame, causing sparks. An older gentleman, who saw the whole thing but kindly didn't laugh at her, put a soda can between the battery and frame to stop the sparking. Worked like a charm. I still tease her about it and she still doesn't think it's very funny. Oh, yeah, it's still funny. [img]smile.gif[/img]

Aaarrggggh! Hubby talked to the engine builder yesterday. The new hemi cranked out 900+ horsepower on the dyno, just before it failed and destroyed a lot of $$$$$ worth of parts. We won't have it by the Fall Classic and probably not even in time for the Dutch in Pennsylvania. Now I don't know if we'll go with the old hemi still in it or not. ????? I don't want to lose my Crew Chief status but I'm just about done with this stinkin' Barracuda!
