So Febreeze makes a spray specifically for vehicles-found it at Target tonight while shopping for a last minute present for a last minute party. Seriously, if you want my whole family to make it to something, 1 week is not enough notice (secondhand by the way) and especially don't expect me to come the evening of carnival and then suggest kids wear their costumes (which I've been to busy to finish) when your yard is a big mudpile and I have to bring trash bags just so the kids can ride home without my husband constantly saying "don't touch that, don't put your feet on that." So I just grabbed something and that's what she's getting. It could be worse, she could just get carnival prizes. Which my 10 year old thought was a perfectly good gift-he helped me order the prizes. Anyway, the spray is helping. Maybe after several applications I won't smell just riding in the car. By the way, people who can't "make it" to any family party that is thrown with respectible notice but expect everyone to come to some last minute party that they can't even call you personally to invite you to really get me. I mean your child has been on this earth several years and at the least, you've had at last one year to think about this birthday. I have 3 kids and I know at least 6 months before their birthday when and where their party will be-not because I'm organized but because we are busy and if I don't put it down, we won't have a party.
I guess I sound a little pi$$y about this. My husband says I know when her bday is and I should expect it. I didn't know I was a mind reader as well as a know it all and micromanager and a few other things. Maybe the pickle fumes are just driving me to PMS!?! What crazy lady plans a carnival for PMS time-ME! Yikes. Ok, you can tell I'm tired by how much I'm carrying on. Please forgive the ramblings-Good night all.

My son seems to be on a one-man campaign to keep my feet planted firmly on the ground. I guess that's the role of a 13 year old. Tonight I was telling him a story and he said, "Do you ever have days where certain things just get on your nerves? Well, no offense, but right now, it's you." If I were my dad, the back of my hand would have flown across the front seat of the car but lucky for the shorty, I'm not my dad. He says, "No offense (again), but when you tell a story you can't just get to the point. You have to say something then say it again in another way but it's really just the same thing again and then, you do it again. Just say what you need to say and move on." Oh, he's so lucky I love him. He's like his dad, only shorter and skinnier. Lucky for both of them that I love them....

Shawn - get one of those bike trailer things for the little ones and strap it to your waist. That'll keep you from bending down to the wagon handle. ;)

d - Seriously?!?! You've never heard of a swirly? How did you make it through basic training? Good thing you're not T's little sister! My little brother just joined the Colorado National Guard. He goes to Fort Knox in Kentucky on Monday for basic. Then, after that, he's off to Fort Rucker for some sort of school. He's on the Aircraft Operations/Flight School path. Once he's in Ft Rucker, I should be able to see him for a weekend here and there.

ScottMom - My mother-in-law had a bag of birdseed bust open in the back of her car - a hatchback - and the next spring plants actually started growing up from the carpet! Maybe you'll get lucky and grow some cucumber hills. Oh, and I'll have a split shot skinny mocha hold the whip. Thanks!

My truck still smells like pickles and it's raining here so I can't leave the windows down. To top it off, a stolen car was abandoned outside my house and the PD said it would take up to a week to get it taken care of. Did I mention it was blocking my driveway? Anyway, my husband is friends with some HP and one of them checked out the plate and had the PD at our house within the hour and the owner located immediately after to pick it up. And the PD wonders why people are frustrated with them.
On a lighter note, I went to Starbucks this evening. They had two new people being trained by the two other people who were supposed to do their jobs as well. I wound up teaching the cashier how to enter my coffee, which cup, what to write on it, and helped her take the next order as well. The manager-who was stuck on the phone-thanked me, gave me a free coffee, and offered me a job! Starbucks is just like PTO, they figure out you can do something and they try to suck you in.
