page two......

I just got this via email from a very good friend. I thought I'd share it with all of you:

A good woman is proud of herself. She respects herself and others. She is aware of who she is. She neither seeks definition from the person she is with, nor does she expect them to read her mind. She is quite capable of articulating her needs.

A good woman is hopeful. She is strong enough to make all her dreams come true..... She knows love, therefore she gives love. She recognizes that her love has great value and must be reciprocated. If her love is taken for granted, it soon disappears.

A good woman has a dash of inspiration, a dabble of endurance. She knows that she will, at times, have to inspire others to reach the potential God gave them. A good woman knows her past, understands her present and moves toward the future.

A good woman knows God. She knows that with God the world is her playground, but without God she will just be played. A good woman does not live in fear of the future because of her past. Instead, she understands that her life experiences are merely lessons, meant to bring her closer to self knowledge and unconditional self love.

Some people come into our lives and quickly go. Some stay for awhile and leave footprints on our hearts. And we are never, ever the same."

Oh Scottmom, hope you're okay. Bet you'll at least be sore for a few days. Take care of yourself.

You never know what you can do until someone threatens the welfare of your child. She will be in my prayers today.
It's really cool, crisp and sunny this morning and supposed to be in the high 60's by the end of the day.
My puppy (small horse) managed to get under my feet this morning with my hands full and trip me, so I'm on hold waiting to get in to see the doctor. I messed up my back but my dog pulled a real Lassie moment. He was licking me to try to make me better and barking at the door, alternately, until my husband came out to see what was wrong.
Do you ever feel like the more exciting and worthwhile you try to make a fundraiser, the more you want to pull your hair out? Just my thought of the day.

The irony of commitment is that it’s deeply liberating-in work, in play, in love. The act frees you from the tyranny of your internal critic, from the fear that likes to dress itself up and parade around as rational hesitation. To commit is to remove your head as the barrier to your life. --Anne Morris

Never underestimate the love and strength of a mother. I will be thinking of her, wishing her the best and thanking her for her wonderful deed. We do not need someone like that living off of others incomes (taxes) while they comfortably await their court date & sentancing only to be let out early. Twinkies and all things fattening while they are forced to watch TV with no physical activity allowed is my vote.

Cold and icky here. Good day to snuggle up on the couch with a good book, that is not related to my school stuff. (No chance of that though)

So much to do, and no motivation to do it. I used to (notice past tense) be able to keep everything in the air at once. The house, PTO, my school, the kids. Now I can keep the kitchen and living room somewhat clean & PTO notebook stays unorganized. The rest of the house looks like a bomb went off. My bathrooms should be declared federal emeregency areas. Sigh.

Hey--one of the kids want to go to IHOP! Yippee! And we can vote on the way back.
Food without cooking--my favorite. And I can forget aboutthe bathrooms for a while! Yippee!

Have a safe day! Sounds like we all have yucky weather and the roads will be full of idiot drivers who can't drive in the rain.

Oh--i have a new hero. A woman in Atlanta was raped by a guy she wouldn't go out with. He raped and beat her and then was going to rape her 6 year old daughter. She got a knife and stabbed him. They struggled for over 20 minutes and she was stabbed in the attack also. She finally stabbed him to death. Say a prayer for this mom!

Mornin All - Overcast, foggy and loks like rain today. They tell us we might get some sun and get into the upper 40's. Let's all call upon the Sun Gods so the people around me are in better moods. Have been working long hours from home and thinking today might be a good day to take off for sanity sake. Hoping to not answer any of the phones, faxes or email requests but have a feeling guilt will show it's face. On my 3rd cup of coffee (yes - can't tell if I have blood in my veins or coffe most of the time) with no end in site.
