CC--that is so beautiful! You have the best mother in law in the world! Mine sent us a guilt trip in the form of a Christmas card.

Oh, CC what a beautiful gift! It's good to hear everyone had a great holiday. Ours was good too. Low key, no pressure.

My kids did something so special: my aunt sent them each $20 in the Christmas card even after I told her they needed nothing. When I gave the kids the card they said that she needs the money more and shouldn't send them so much. Then they decided to spend it on her! I usually put together a big goodie basket for her and the lady she shares a house with so I did that and the kids picked out new slippers for both my aunt and her friend and we got a gift certificate to a place my aunt loves to go. They were both speechless when the kids showed up with the gifts. I was so proud of them thinking of others first.

Now it's back to work and PTO "stuff"!

Hey Rocky, watch me pull a rabbit out of my hat.

Rock on, Shawn - Don't mess with perfection!

I don't really do the resolution thing because I'm never sincere when I make them. I can't start each year by lying to myself!

I got the most amazing bracelet from my mother-in-law this weekend. It's a sterling silver Mobius strip engraved with St. Francis's Prayer:

~Lord, make me an instrument of thy PEACE
where there is hatred
let me sow LOVE
where there is injury
PARDON
where there is error
TRUTH
where there is discord
HARMONY
where there is doubt
FAITH
where there is despair
HOPE
where there is darkness
LIGHT
and where there is sorrow
JOY~

So, while I'm not so great at resolutions, I'll wear this bracelet every day to remind me to try to strive for Peace, Love, Pardon, Truth, Harmony, Faith, Hope, Light and Joy.

I hope you all had a safe and happy New Year's Day and are all looking forward to a terrific 2007!!!

ok, let's see, new year's resolutions---1. of course the obvious--lose weight 2. cook more stuff at home--when school started this past semester, it was like i forgot how to work the stove. we have been fast fooding it a LOT in the past few months and are all burned out.

i hope everyone has a safe and happy new year. We are heading out to Longhorns for dinner and then coming home and playing games with the kids.

I actually have all my christmas stuff down and back in the attic already. I got bored last night and figured I may as well get it done. It is kind of blah in here now. and i keept buying christmas stuff. everywhere i go, it is either 50 or 75 % off and for some reason i have to find something. I left Micheals with enought cupcake cups (large and small) for the next 3 christmas's. But they were 100 in a pack and after the markdown only 20 cent each......how can any normal person pass that up???

I haven't nailed down a New Years Resolution to just one - that's pretty much the norm for me. Over the Christmas break I did make of list of improvements I would like to get done by room inside the house (I haven't even thought about outside). To get a 1/4 of the list done perhaps even 1/2 would be great.
