Thank LUV! It really is the thought that counts because I feel better already.

I'm fine today. My finger is only about 1/8 inch shorter. It's bandaged and I'm off to class.

Have a great day. Remember to Thank a Vet today!!!

CC!!! OUCH!! That gives me chills!

Were you making the "green" juice? Maybe all those healthy veggies and fruits will help your finger heal faster. Virtual chicken soup coming your way. If you lived closer, I'd bring you the real thing. Chicken soup makes everything feel better.

:(

Here's an important thing to know.... If you're making juice and something gets stuck, and you turn it off to un-jam it.... (here's the important part) wait until all of the sharp, spinning parts actually stop moving before you stick your hand in it. Otherwise, you get to spend three hours in the ER. And your finger will never be the same again....

 Owwwwwww

Here's the fun part, though. If you walk in looking like Meryl Streep, the entire ER staff forgets about your shortened, bleeding index finger (and the pain you're sure to be in) to gawk, ask if anyone has ever asked if you know that you look just like her, I mean JUST like her, and then to gather other people to gawk and ask questions too. It's a ton of fun. Really.

Now I'm taking my medicated, wrapped, shortened index finger to bed.

Hey menlo! Nice to see you on page two.

I love to try new recipes. Can't wait for you to share some, LUV.

Hey Menlo, sounds like you've been one busy lady! I know I'm enjoying my post-fundraiser break.

This weekend I found a bunch of new recipes to try and I'm starting to do some cooking ahead on the weekends. If I find anything super terrific, I'll let everyone know the recipe. After the family had to eat microwave fair 4 times this past week due to the hectic event schedules, I decided to start doing some prepping that will allow us to pull together "real" meals in a short time. I froze some veggie soup this weekend and mixed up all the dry ingredients for homemade biscuits in a big ziploc bag to store in the pantry. Tonight after basketball, we'll whip up biscuits and sausage gravy with peas.

Our poor presidents are working their bottoms off and of course there always comes tumult with transition so their also feeling the dip in support from parents. Sep to Dec is DEFINITELY our busiest time of the year and they're hanging on. I'm doing Movie night for them and then the just have the Craft night and Jingle Bell Jog. They've worked so hard this year. I really hope they catch a breather over the holidays to recognize how much good they've done.

Welcome back Menlo--take a breather.
