I know what you mean, pals. I can think of maybe three families at our school who would object to the PG movies we are considering, but we have to cover ourselves just in case. And I know a lot of families who let their kids watch rated R movies too that I would never let my kids watch.
Our principal signed off on the wording Tim suggested so we are good to go. I am really excited that we are even doing a free movie night at all, as our group in the past has always been primarily about fundraising for school and classroom needs. I hope we have a good enough turn out to have another one in the spring.
Does anyone know how long it takes to get the movie license?
We've done PG movies every time, and we always make sure the rating is on our flyer. I'm not aware of any complaints. Our principal was fine with the PG rating, since we make it clear in our advertising. We only have gr 2-5, but lots of little siblings come, too.
Think about the whole thing you guys and how sad it is...our transportation dept. had a complaint on Halloween because a bus driver played "monster mash". We would probably faint if we knew some of the stuff our kids hear in school and on the bus, naked animated butts are the least of our worries. But that is the way it is!

Seriously though, you have a very valid point. Even at home, we are very careful what TV or movies our kids watch when friends are over, esp. with my 8-year-old. Even Cars, which is rated G has some content that could be objectionable to some parents! But I do like the wording of the text for flyers you've provided, Tim, and I am going to run it by our principal, since ultimately she is the one who will get yelled at if someone finds our selection objectionable.
