Hello everyone! First I would like to say that I have been lurking around these boards for awhile now, and I appreciate all the wonderful ideas for parental involvement and fun ideas for family events. One idea I borrowed is the Trunk or Treat, where the costumed students beg Trick or Treat in the school parking lot from cars/vans the parents/guardians own. People loved the idea and are very excited about it, BUT I need suggestions on how to run it and ideas for activities. I thought maybe a guess how many jar, with candy corn or something similiar (win the jar and a gift card of some sort). Also, a teacher suggested a best costume (maybe by grade level), and best decorated car contest. What else? We are already doing a pumpkin painting event a week before (didn't want to have them painting while wearing their costumes!) Possibly selling cider and donuts...Any ideas??
