Our newsletter is weekly. We have a very active group and the parents like getting weekly reminders. Yes, it's a little bit of work but parent invovlement is up for this year.

I have created a monthly newsletter for PTO that is sent out once a month. The information is generally about events that we have had and the success of them from the previous month,a PTO Dollars at Work section that highlights what we have spent some of our money on, a calendar of events for that month, and future fundraiser information. This is the second school year to put out the newsletter and I know the parents appreciate being more informed about what the PTO is doing for the school. I use Microsoft Publisher for the newsletter and it is very user friendly. The newsletter is also posted on our web site.
