Listening to all has given me some hope. We are new to our small town, less than 320 students from grades K - 12. In need of much help to get the PTO going. I just found this site-its great! I am a new president and we have NOTHING set up. I am looking to set a mission statement, by-laws, reimbursment receipts etc. Can anyone help?
I took over our school's PTO last Dec. and will continue as Pres. next year. We are trying to get a structure going that will continue past our time here. I've started a President's notebook and we are going to do binders for each activity/committee as well. The hard part has been getting volunteers to chair/lead events. Please help with all this start up info that has been mentioned. Thanks.
If you guys can wait just a bit more (think summer), then we're going to have a great tool available with all kinds of start-up help. Incorporating, nonprofit status, insurance.... all those very important technical details made easy.
