I have never been here before, but I will definitely be back. Our school will be having it's first carnival and I am the chair. You have all provided great ideas! Thank you so much.

I have hit a treasure trove of things for fall festival. I am so excited. I went into the old store room with the prinicpal the other day looking for something and there are all kinds of desk and paints and junk in there. I am taking 2 of the square(kinda like a computerdesk)desk and turning them into a flush the frog booth and a mug the marshmallow booth. They have a tall back and two tall sides so i figure that will keep stuff from getting all over the place if they miss with the frogs or marshmallows. I also found a couple of bags of prizes noone knew we had.Yipee!!!

"Do you know anyone who can make balloon figures?"

We lucked out on this one. The local pizza parlor happened to have a person making the animals, etc. on our school pizza night. He agreed to accept tickets and we split 25/75 and he supplied the ballons. He charged 4 tickets($1) per.Everyone was happy. He was a college student making a few extra bucks.

Bubblegum bingo was a hit for us. A huge tub of gum is about $6 at Sam's and PTO already had the bingo cards.Or you can search online for free printable bingo cards.

Cupcake decorating was also popular.Parents supplied un-iced cupcakes and the kids got to get creative with all the various icings, sprinkles etc. that also were donated.

For photos--definitely go with Polaroid--the kids like instant. We charged $3 each and they could cram as many friends into the picture as they wanted. We also enlisted the Art teacher to make the backdrop. She also ran the booth to raise funds for extra supplies.

Love the bug splat game idea. where do you get the bugs? I looked in OTC and didn't see anything that would work. Also, does any one know where I can order posters for a game I want to play at our carnival.

Hi I looked through my OTC 2004 main book and found under the novelties section what they called growing insects. They are the things that you put in water and they get big. If I remember right I think that they are soft, and may work. The item # on that is NX39-1275 they are $4.95 a unit with 4 dozen per unit. Hope this helps.

Found a new game.
Mug The Marshmallow

take and glue coffee cups of different shapes and sizes to a 2x4 and set on a table. use plastic spoons to try to catapult your mashmallow into one of the mugs. prizes depend on the size of the cup -- the smaller the hole the larger the prize.
