We've had a rough year as the school has sent home some type of fundraiser EVERY MONTH!!!We just have one really fun one that has worked (skate parties)otherwise the other fund raiser we did didn't do as well as we had hoped.

we are going to do one more year of campbells labels and then it is quits with them - too much effort for our small school. we do do boxtops because no matter how many you collect it is money. we also do escrip and schoolcash.com all that really takes is sign up and reminders. we usually have one sign up drive at safeway a year.
and we are just getting cartridges started. we are approaching the businesses in our town to raise money for our new greenhouse program. this will be an ongoing collection effort for the funds to support the program. so it will not go into our general fund at all. but with tightening state funding we had to come up with someway to support this new program.

Hello. We do boxtops and some grocery stores, dept stores (where you hand them the keychain card). There is a place somewhere where it rates the best of them. It mentioned soup labels not being at the top of the list. I cant recall about Tyson. But why dont you see how much money you are getting out of them. If its $50, then toss it!
Have you looked into recycling used printer cartridges. Thats one of those "free" money ideas. Set up a box for the used one in your school and send them in 3-4x a year. You can get about $3 for each used one. All you do is mail them in.
Hope that helps some,

How many of these programs do most schools participate in? It seems like there are so many, I can't keep track of them all. I wonder if there aren't many parents who just throw up their hands in frustration. Currently we do BoxTops, soup labels, and Tyson chicken, along with saving receipts from a local shopping plaza to get $$. We also have our school day at Chick-Fil-A and a pizza place for which we get a portion of the proceeds. We also get Target $ and schoolpop.com $. Do you think it makes sense to limit participation in these programs to a couple, or is it better to sign up for as many as possible?

I'd really like to know what other schools do in this area. Thanks!
