She invited the ENTIRE SENIOR CLASS! Okay 15 students (small school) BUT she told them to meet at her home which backs up to a park to finish their project film of a book about boys living in the wildreness, kind of a coming of age story- I think they kill a pig for dinner.....high school was a few years ago .
The staff and Principal are upset that this wasn't a Activity Form approved activity and she is saying it was just a homework assignment. Now the English teacher was going to take them to a park within walking distance of the school that the gym class uses BUT she (the mom) was appaulded that they would use that park hence why she invited them to her home. SHe says she has found used needles there....I don't know.
So one student stayed at school, another stayed home (sick-honest!) and two skipped but told the school they were at her house.
I should also add that in the last month there have been four or five teenager related car accidents with no one surviving just in our area. (One accident was a 15 year old driving back from lunch going 75mph, she flipped the car, one student of the four survived, she was the owner of the car. Oh yeah, sunny 80 degree day)

She is the resident trouble maker (if you will) and when she tells the story you think, AWH come on. Then you talk to the school and realize how you see both sides but she doesn't see that. All she knows is she was helping her daughter's class. All I know is the Principal wants NOTHING to have her name on it and is refering to me as the acting Prez.... This is when I stop and think, all I wanted to do was help the school.

This lady invited her daughter's friend over to finish a class project and she is banned from the school? That is the jest I get. I am not familiar with the "Lord of the Flies", if I recollect there were to many pages for me to even think about reading and back in my day we didn't have the group projects that students are required to have now.

Not only was the PResident banned but there is an investigation!
The short of the long story is that she wanted to help her daughter's class (Seniors) finish an assignment which was an adaptation of 'LOrd Of the Flies.' So she invited them to her house (about 10 miles from school grounds) and had the kids finish filming in her backyard. yeah, I'm telling ya, this gal has a heart but tends to forget a few things. She says everthing was approved, the teacher etc are yelling NO. The reason for being banned is because she talks too much and needs to talk to the school.
The hard part about this is the parents we have involved now LOVE HER! SHe gets things done, she works hard for the parents just has a hard time with school polices!

Hopefully this will all blow over by Friday (I talked to her yesterday and BEGGED her to talk to the school and clear this up). See what happens...and I was having fun living happit ever after!

Yep, our President recieved a letter in the mail yesterday from the school telling her she has been banned from the building. I will have to come back and tell you more (need to keep moving as I need to be at school soon) but am I correct assumeing (a word I HATE) that since she is banned, we have no VP, as the Secretary I'm "IT"?
I agree I need to talk with the Principal and thinking I need (or I should) call a special board meeting to talk about what, how,etc we are going to handle the issue.

This is crazy, and I will add this is SO between the Prez and the Principal but in the meantime we have an election in two weeks. This just looks bad.

Well, off to deliver the treats my son forgot!
