We had a great holiday. We've got a meeting next week and I have not even thought about school since holiday break started. :(

Time to get moving!

Anyone having problems logging in? Since my last post after Christmas it seems that whenever I try to log in the system doesn't recogonize that I am trying to sign in. Doesn't give me an invalid user message just kinda ignores I am signing in and refuses to log me in. Odd. I will try not to dwell on it to deeply for now.
DLF your Boxers are sending my Pom e.s.p. messages. She has decided as of yesterday to slowly tear all the stuffing out of her pillow bed. I have green stuffing everywhere I look lately. I am sure she is trying to tell me that she dislikes my new fitness schedule which doesn't include her due to the frigid temps. Would it be considered passive agressive if I decide not to replace her pillowbed until I feel like it or just tuff love?
Boy LUV ... I bet you are about ready to drive all the political clowns and their entourages out of town in your own car by now. Thank goodness you only have a couple more hours to go before all the craziness is over for a while.
We are in the midst of getting ready for the big meltdown here. After being dumped on with snow then sent into a deep freeze rumor has it we might hit 50 this weekend. Should be a messy weekend!

d, sounds like a great time! I wish we lived closer to a big city so we could more easily do things like that. We had some wicked weather these past couple of weeks so we probably wouldn't have gotten there anyway.

Christmas was good at our house too. A little different now that the kids are getting older-not nearly as excited on Christmas morning as when they were little ones(although they were up at 6:00), but they were happy with their gifts. I had the joy of coming down with a whopper of a cold on Dec 23, so my holidays were spent with a box of Kleenex and bottle of ibuprofen always within reach.

The grocery prices are going crazy here too. Milk costs more than gas! Maybe I need to buy a cow and put her in the backyard.

Hey Rocky, watch me pull a rabbit out of my hat.

We had a very satisfying Christmas. Everyone enjoyed what they received and after talking with my sister up "home" where they had the annual "unfortunate event" of someone saying the wrong thing or doing the wrong thing, ending the evening with a movie and holding hands with my hubby seemed just perfect. We watched "Stardust" which while a bit violent and a little risque for the little guys but was a fun diversion. Michele Pfiffer is just good....
Took the boys into DC today. Left the house at 7:45 and got home around 7 pm. WE WERE DONE!!!! Am only up because I NEEDED that glass of wine. We did the Smithsonian Museum of Nat'l History, street preformers, IMAX movies, Metro rides, National tree, DC monument, hot dogs, pop corn and then met hubby at work in "Crystal City" and had dinner at a sports place with an ice skating rink outside.
Not sure who was more tired..the boys or the *:&^ dogs that had been home chewing things all day. Boxers are NOT good when left alone.
But weather was great and the boys got to see the lobby of their dads office place (only lobby cause they ain't got no clearances. Lots of fun warstories and if you haven't seen a 3D movie lately try again. I never "got it" because of some issues with a lazy eye I've had since childhood, but these new movies and the glasses--man we were all ducking and weaving and swatting and really having a fun time. It was 8 dollars per person for the 40 minute "Monsters of the Sea" but very well worth it.

So TA DA....our Christmas venture is over. You know our children don't go back to school until the 7th. Seems very late....or maybe I'm just jealous of my sisters 2 January return....
Happy New Year all!!!!

Welcome Back everyone and I hope everyone's holiday was great!
It's offical, this morning my scale said I gained 3 lbs over Christmas. I hope I can shed those before New Year's and hope to just stay even until Jan. I hate the gym in Jan - everyone seems to come out of the woodowork due to resolutions. Right around March things seem to calm down and we can all get along without the dreaded wait for whatever machine.
With regard to groceries I have now begun my shopping between 3 stores. Cleaning supplies one place, things I can't find at the local store and the items on sale at the local store. It seems like a hassle on paper but cleaning supplies are only once a month and the money I save in shopping between the other two make up for the milage plus. I have a feeling things may get more challanging in the new year with everything going up ... we will see. I think the local farmer's market is going to see me more often in '08 which sounds like the way to go depending on the size of my garden.

I do not understand how one store sells eggs for $1.47 and the store across the street charges 99 cents.

I hate grocery shopping!
