So d, did you eat the apple or the fries?

My resolution is to make sure I eat at least 5 servings of fruits/vegs every day. The big resolution of losing ##lbs and such never worked, so this year I decided to try a smaller goal and hope that it will turn into bigger benefits down the road. I decided yesterday that I need to extend the resolution to fries and chips not counting as a vegetable. I will still hold that chocolate is a vegetable though.

Good idea Silver! I actually thought of putting up a sign by the doorbell that said, "If I don't answer the door after you ring, it means:

1. I'm not home
2. I can't make it to the door because I'm in the middle of something important
3. I saw you coming and have absolutely no interest in what you are selling/promoting

Don't ring the bell a second time, it waste electricity and really makes me mad if I am home.

Tim - was able to get in after a password reset.

It's offical, milk and gas are neck and neck as far as cost goes here. Milk ahead today. Bessie in the backyard is sounding better each week.

Billary is getting a smack down the last couple of days. Interesting to see how the press discusses her "anger" moment compaired to the male conterparts. Women are angry or bitchy yet men are passionate. Maybe she should have worn another low cut blouse to throw the press off. Despite all the whopla still undecided here.

Luv - I hang a note on the door to the effect of 'whatever you are selling leave it (papers) in the basket' and the basket has well faded paperwork in it so they get the point that it's not checked but once a few months.

Silver, you hit the nail on the head with the thoughts on the politics here. Every day we came home to messages on the answering machine and there was always at least one phone call sometime in the evening. Then there was the constant barrage of mail and TV ads and even a few door-to-door stumpers. It's especially nice when one family member is a registered Dem and the other a registered Rep because then you get it from both of the major parties.

Here's an observation for your thoughts in relation to people coming to your door: If you ring my doorbell and I don't answer, should you continue to ring the doorbell because you have a feeling I'm home and am just ignoring you? There is no law that says I have to answer the door when someone rings the bell(especially useful when I know that all you're going to do is bother me). Also, if you continue to ring the bell and I finally give up and come to the door, do you think you are going to find me in a welcoming and pleasant mood all ready to listen to your plea?

!

Please let us know if this is a frequent problem for folks. Fox -- did you get a new computer for Christmas? We didn't make any software changes of late, so I'm wondering if the issue is on your end. Perhaps you do not have "cookies" enabled. (System uses cookies to recognize you.)
